If I select a different printer, the setting for the type of paper used is wrong

My default printer is an HP laser printer. I also have a receipt printer that is not my default printer. In windows, the receipt printer is properly set up to use receipt paper. However, in Firefox, when I select the receipt printer, the paper settings come up as Letter. If I have the receipt printer set as my default printer, Firefox seems to acknowledge the settings and prints according to the size of the receipt. The problem only occurs when I print to a printer that is not the default. How do I get Firefox to use the windows settings for my printer?
