The first version the second newer version , the version that is on the computer installed? Do you use Imap or pop accounts? These local/profile maps from your pc ? Are these maps recovered? Thunderbird can not operate on a defect computer or pc. did you lose everything because of this update? Or other software outside Thunderbirds program? do you have backup data of this with you or on your computer somewhere? If possible check your profile maps on your pc if they are still there.
