If I create an event in a Google calendar in Thunderbird 102.11.2 and the Provider for Google Calendar, it correctly shows me as the organizer with no attendees. The Google Calendar app on my Samsung A13 phone running Android 12 shows it correctly on my calendar. If I then edit the event in Thunderbird and save it (even it I don't make changes), I am listed as an attendee to the meeting as well as the organizer. This causes my phone to show the event with a black interior rather than the normal color for events on my calendar. My presumption is that the black interior means the event hasn't been confirmed by all attendees. If I "remove all attendees" in Thunderbird for the event, my phone shows it correctly again.

I saw a similar problem report on the web about Google adding the organizer as an attendee. It said something about being logged in to "the primary" calendar when creating the event on a google calendar, but with no explanation about what the "primary calendar" is, and the description of that problem isn't exactly what is happening to me.

Removing all attendees or just living with different colored events on my calendar are viable options, but it is annoying. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Hi!

I recently added my caldav calendar to thunderbird and noticed that the event times are off by an hour. Going into Settings -> Calendar, there's a drop down for timezone, the selected one is UTC+1 whereas I'm on UTC+0 and I can't seem to set it to plain GMT/UTC (I can select that timezone on single events though), and there does not seem to be a single country or region in that timezone list that's on UTC+0 with no DST.

Is there some way to set the calendar time zone to UTC+0?

Hello,

In the Agenda view, I once made the "Find events" pane (shown in the answer to this question) disappear by reducing its size down to zero. Now I can't bring it back on. I love my big full-screen calendar, but this pane was still nice to have sometimes! I guess a toggle to display this pane should be accessible in the menu (e.g. View -> Agenda -> Agenda panes -> Find events).

Thanks for the good work. I love the new 102 version!

I have 10 subscribed calendars to sync and all but 3 are from different sources. myical.ics, Hawks.ics and F1-2023.ics are from the same source (a folder on my web site - www.peterashby.com/events/). Hawks.ics and F1-2023.ics work fine, as do the other 8, but myical.ics does not display (so I don't know if it syncs or not). This only started happening yesterday. myical.ics syncs perfectly in google calendar and passes a couple of ics validation tests. I tried a new profile but the problem remains the same.

Any ideas please ?

I am running TB 102.9.0 and use Provider for Google Calendar to sync my calendar with my other devices. Information that I receive from Google Calendar is correct, but any entry that I add to my computer has been shifting by one hour since daylight savings started. I have checked the timezone settings on my computer and in Google Calendar and all are correct. I tried deleting my Google Calendar subscription from TB and adding it back, but everything is still off by one hour. What more can I try?

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble adding Google Calendar to Thunderbird. I have added a Google account and all e-mails and some of the calendars have downloaded correctly.

The problem is that I can't see all the Google calendars from within Thunderbird.

In the Calendars section, I click on "+", select "Remote Calendars", enter my Google mail in the user name and I get an incomplete list of calendars (several are missing, including "Finanse", "Imieniny urodzinki", "ProgramyTV").

You can see the differences in the attached screenshots.

How do I correctly synchronize Thunderbird with Google Calendars so that all my calendars are visible? (I do not use any add-ons)

Hi, I have set-up 2 calendars for my 2 email addresses on Thunderbird email client with Provider for Google Calendar, and besides the invites, the calendars work well with 2 way sync, etc.

Problem is when I accept an email invite on Thunderbird from either account it automatically goes to one calendar and not the other and I can't find a way to get it to the proper calendar.

- One calendar is from MS Exchange/Outlook (synced with Thunderbird) where all invites go - One calendar is my Google/GMail calendar (synced with Thunderbird) where invitations do not go Interestingly on my Google Web version (Google Calendar site, not Thunderbird) the invites are properly allotted to the right calendars. So I am guessing it’s my Thunderbird setup.

Have attached 4 screenshots: - Calendars listed - Settings for the MS Exchange calendar - Settings for the Google calendar - Screen where I accept the invite. The invite is sent to the Gmail address and the response is the proper Gmail address. Also something odd about me "not being on the list" shows up whenever I accept from any account.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've been using Thunderbird for work for a few years and a few months ago my calendar integration with my Google Calendar stopped working. I've tried everything I can think of including re-installing calendars, but without success. My Thunderbird at home can still accept invites, but not on my work computer despite verifying that the calendar address and such is the same.

Initially, when I'd click 'Accept' on an invite, nothing would happen (ie no prompt, failure etc), the invite would just stay there without response. Now it's asking me if I want to link it with one of two different calendars I have, both of which I've verified under the calendar on Thunderbird that it isn't associated with an email address (has the yellow bar at the top saying if you want to use this calendar to store invitations you need to associate with an email address).

I can't think of what to do for next steps for troubleshooting, any thoughts?

Thunderbird 102.6.1, Windows 11

Over the last several updates to Tbird (can't say exactly when it started), my Google calendar seldom gets updated, and then seemly only at random times. The "synchronize calendars" command has no effect. A week or more can go by with no update, although my computer is always on and connected to the internet. Exiting and restarting Tbrird does not help. Eventually th calendar updates itself, unpredictably.

When I add an event to the Google calendar in Tbird, it shows up immediately in other instances of the Google calendar, such as on my phone. So we know that Tbird calendar is talking to Google, if only in one direction.

I didn't see this problem mentioned in any of the help articles. If others have reported this problem in the Community, I didn't find the thread. Any suggestions?

Alternatively if I can change the weekend colors that would work well. They are nearly the same yellow as the CURRENT color.

Korzystam z Thunderbird Portable 102.5.1 (64 bity) i mam problem z kalendarzem.

Today I received from Ubuntu's repo the update to Thunderbird 102.2.2.

I have linked Thunderbird with my Nextcloud instance https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/19/user_manual/pim/sync_thunderbird.html

this is done by using 2 addons: - https://addons.thunderbird.net/en/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/ - https://addons.thunderbird.net/en/thunderbird/addon/dav-4-tbsync/

unfortunately they are both incompatible with Thunderbird 102 therefore automatically disabled.

How can I use Thunberbird 102 with Nexcloud?

I am using Thunderbird & Lightning for a long time - thank you for your work on that!

I'm heavily using calendar-events with status (CONFIRMED/DECLINED/...) but in my current knowledge i have to go a long (click-)way changing that status: Click on Event->Click on Edit->Click on Settings/Status->Select Status.

Is there a faster (less clicks) way to do it?

Thank you for your help!

Recently rcvd a pair of reminders from my/our calendar (attached). When I attempted to Dismiss/Dismiss All, the reminder dialog remained open. There was no hint of any activity related to the dialog response at all. I closed the dialog using the upper right corner X and shortly thereafter the dialog reappeared. Once the dialog reappeared, I attempted to Snooze/Snooze All. Again, there was no hint of any activity.

  1. TB is up-to-date @ v102.4.0 x64.
  2. The workstation was restarted just to be sure something else related to the current Windows session was not the cause.

Anyone else experienced this recently or have suggestions on possible ways to remedy it?
