I have bought a new pc with Windows 11 home pre-installed and set Mozilla Firefox latest version as default browser ...the issue i am having is placing add-on extension shortcut icons on toolbar. I installed Norton Safe Web and this installed ok and is listed in extension control panel and when i click puzzle icon Norton Safe Web is not shown under manage shortcuts nor can i see option to Pin to Toolbar. Have tried several attempts but still get nowhere.I uninstalled Mozilla Firefox...restarted pc ... did a fresh install of Mozilla Firefox without altering any settings..re-installed Norton Safe Web and still cannot see option to Pin to Toolbar.Clicking the gear icon does not help Have i missed a step somewhere ?

Hello all. Since the update to Version 113.0 I have been getting an error in my Event Viewer which is Event 2 Firefox Default Browser Agent . I am now on Version 113.0.1 and still get this error. Firefox is my default browser. Below is an image of what I see in my Event Viewer and also the full view of the event itself. I seem to not be having any problems with the browser but I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on why this is happening or forward to the Devs.

After the latest update, "synced tabs" suddenly appeared in my history menu above Recently Closed Tabs. I don't use syncing of any sort so this is just a nuisance. How can I get rid of it?

Recently started to get this popup - see attachment - and I don't know why.

Please advise a remedy.

British Airways enable cookies page, essential cookies greyed out so can't log in. The other three cookie choices are live and ticked. This problem has been here for weeks - can anyone suggest what is wrong?

Ubuntu crashes while moving around a Firefox tab with a mouse, IF the mouse cursor goes thru the top bar of the laptop screen. I am using Firefox V 113.0.2, Build ID: 20230522193126 on Ubuntu 23.04. This could be an Ubuntu problem or a Firefox problem.

To the Firefox volunteers, developers, moderators, or whoever might read this that is willing and able to do something about it: Provide a means for end users to place the Tabs below the Bookmarks on screen.

Is there any way to keep an older version of Firefox without its getting upgraded all the time? Version 99 only has a small header at the top, so there is still space on my screen to see the website I'm trying to see. The newer versions (100 and newer) take up too much space on my screen. Every site has its own headers, and so I am left with about an inch of working space. That's really not enough to see anything.

Is there a way to get the security updates without the new look? Is there a Firefox Light version available, with minimal headers and all? I prefer Firefox, and would love to keep it. Having to reinstall it (to get the older version back) several times a week is not good.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks very much!

Over the years I have accumulated important links in my Firefox Bookmarks bar and passwords file and it would be a disaster if for some reason my hard drive got compromised and I could no longer access them. Is there any way to copy the data to another set-up, independent of my laptop, from where the data could be retrieved in a usable form for display on another laptop or PC? Thanks.

Usually when I start my browser for the first time, I have the Firefox homepage only. For two weeks ago, suddenly an extra tab show up when starting: A page with a commercial for installing "Avast Online Security & Privacy (Add to Firefox-button)".

I use Avast, but I don't want this add-on. And I certainly don't want that extra tab every time I start my pc.

I have three times searched for a solution all over in the Mozilla & Avast settings and on the net: I should go to "Add-ons and themes" - "Extensions" - and on the list "Manage Your Extensions" I should remove this add-on - but it's not there of course, because I didn't install it.

So how do I remove this tab from showing at start-up? (Google Search can't help) Appauling that someone put this tab on my pc in the first place. Both Avast and Mozilla have other ways to communicate with me about that add-on, if needed. Now I had to shut it down every day for two weeks, because I was way too busy to write you until now.

After updating firefox to 112 it now starts with ugly white ui dummy before actually loading proper UI. Screenshot attached. It was not happening on firefox 111.0.1. It happens every time I launch firefox 112. Of course nothing in changelog is said about changing performance or UI so I have no idea what is causing this.

I just built a new computer and installed windows 11. Reluctantly coming freshly from windows 7, I have tried and done many things and tweaks to suit my needs more, so I am aware one of those things might be the issue, but I have no idea which, if any. My issue applies to any browser I have tried, not just Firefox. It started randomly and I cannot remember what I did last or exactly when it started happening, a few hours ago is the best I can say. Whenever I right-click while in the save-as window, that window closes and often the window last used minimizes. The browser itself does not crash; however, Firefox is unique in that it does crash but also the only one to notify me and allow me to give out a report, which I did. Also to note; this issue does not happen in every folder on my computer, and even that seems random, not limited to a certain drive either, or permissions and such. The browsers I have tested are Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Firefox.

I also have tried multiple windows recovery points, none of which mattered (and I know for a fact the issue didn't occur at the time of one point I tried, yet it did even after that recovery). Also scanned my computer for threats and nothing was found. I'm not sure if this is within the scope of help to receive here, but I can't find anything about this and since it is rather bizarre, I don't reckon it's a well know issue. Any help is very appreciated.

On start up this morning, Firefox was gone from taskbar. I found ff eventually but all my bookmarks and history are gone. Can I recover them? Why did this happen? Also missing home button

So for the last little while, Facebook has been making a complete nuisance of itself on firefox. This isn't a browser problem, because the other tabs I have open work perfectly fine, but FB takes forever to load, and any button I press to interact with it, (like the reload button,) also lags, (but, again, works fine on other tabs,). It doesn't even register links as being clickable for a good minute after loading. The page also seems to reset every time I switch from another tab to it, showing a blank page with a loading symbol. I have tried deleting the entire history, and restarting the browser, and deactivating the adblocker, (the only extension active) and nothing seems to help. Does anybody know why it's doing this, (other than because the company follows the 'if it isn't broke, break it' theory, which we all already knew,) and how to fix it?

Firefox very often crashes on exit. It's been doing it for some time now, but am not sure exactly when it started.

I have updated to the latest version 113.0.2 (64 bit), am on Windows 10 which is also up to date. I have tried clearing the cache.

When I reopen the browser, it's just an empty new window. I am able to reopen them in "History" > "Recently closed windows", but it's extremely annoying to do this every time. Is there a way to fix it? It was fine like two weeks ago or so and my settings seem okay. I can't find the solution in similar posts here.

So I'm currently using Google Authentication for my Firefox 2fa codes. However, that app is stuck offline and there is no way to get it to connect back online. I'm thinking of using another app to generate the Firefox codes. However, if I do so, by scanning the Firefox generated QR code to set up the code in the app, will this result in;

1. Having to generate a new backup code for Firefox (recovery key) 2. Voiding the generated keys on the other app I am using.

I am currently unable to view any file activity or ownership information in Google Drive in a shared folder. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

• Quit and reopen firefox
• Relaunched firefox in safe mode/extensions disabled
• Cleared cookies
• Tried in other browsers (works in Librewolf, Brave and Chromium; doesn't work in any Firefox browser (Nightly, beta, standard)
