Previously, I could access pdf links from websites but now it hangs up (no access).
I am viewing a website and click on a link that accesses a pdf file. Up until a few weeks ago, the pdf file would be downloaded just fine. Now, I get a a downward pointing arrow that moves from screen center to the upper left, diminishing in size and then disappears, No file is downloaded. This has happened on numerous websites. In order to view the pdf file, I have to open Microsoft's Internet Explorer (ugh), paste in the URL, click on the link, and that downloads the file just fine. But it is a pain to have to do this and MS Explorer sucks.
