Service provider changed Security protocol from SSL preventing me from sending emails
Unable to send emails using my normal provider (Cox.net) Discussions with their help desk stated that Cox recently changed their Security protocol from SSL to something else. did not catch the new protocol. Has anyone heard or this or been effected.

The Cox site suggests the outgoing smtp.cox.net supports SSL/TLS on port 465, or STARTTLS on port 587. No mention of not supporting SSL, but try STARTTLS on 587 if the other choice doesn't work.
