I never seemed to have a problem with my Mozilla Thunderbird but shortly after the last Mozilla Firefox update my inbound email thru Mozilla Thunderbird come into my inbound email box as DRAFT Messages. this is a big problem because I can't reply and or forward because there is no (((send))) showing up anywhere. Nobody seems to know how to solve this problem so it must be a first. My wife is on the same Home network as I and she has no problem like mine. I hate to reinstall Thunderbird because I don't know if it would interfere with all here computer info especially with her Thunderbird which seem to be OK (( No inbound Draft email Messages )). I use cox as my IP and mail coming into their email does not have a inbound draft problem, nor does AOL or GMail just Mozilla Thunderbird.

I just upgraded to 102.7.0 and now my work email connections to 2 different Office365 exchange servers will not authenticate, and neither will my gmail connection. All worked fine before the upgrade. All work on older versions on other computers.

Trying to add the file link server to my Thunderbird. I created the account at The Good Cloud....activated the account OK. Went into the settings in TB and added the link into the box....proceeded to "try" to populate the setting box....first off I couldn't cut/paste...web address, user ID, or passwords from my PW manager.....so added the details manually.....however I was never able to enter the password field successfully.....won't populate/accept. I know it must be something easy....but I can't find an online answer. Maybe you can send me a link....frustrating.

Thanks for ability to ask for help.

I accidentally erased some of my email addresses and passwords. Previously I recall being able to access Password Manager to easily enter new email addresses and new passwords. That was some time ago.

I've attempted to follow instructions "within" Thunderbird but on getting into Password Manager where there are now only three of my 4 o5 emails addresses left, I could not find a way to replace the lost addresses and password. It was so easy to do so some years ago. Older users may recall old advice about using multiple addresses where the one attracting scams could be annihilated. I'll be 86 in a fortnight!

Humble thanks in anticipation - I'm still using Windows 7 and think it's the latest or near latest Thunderbird

Hi, I've ran across a huge problem for me. My computer crashed and after recovering it, Thunderbird can't see my mail profile. I've had it on a different partition, and no solution works, believe me, I've already tried every obvious thing (I wouldn't be asking here if I didn't). The thing is nothing works - fixing the path in profile.ini, importing the profile through the app and pointing to that folder, copying the files to a completely new profile - nothing! It's as if some files, that should show Thunderbird that "this is a profile", are broken. So here's my question - I still have the large files containg all my emails (inbox etc.) in this broken profile folder - is there any way to recover the contents of those files (and maybe bring them back to Thunderbird)?

I hope someone can help me. Up until the last week or so, I have had no problem with my signature file in outgoing email. I've been using the same signature file for at least 5 years. Suddenly, Thunderbird is blocking my logo image in my signature file in all outgoing mail. Instead, it is showing my alternate text. I am using version 102.6.1 on Windows 10

I had 4 email accounts on one domain with a previous ISP, but had to stop using that provider. I transferred my domain to Godaddy and got 2 email accounts for myself within the same domain, www.SuperiorOfficeStaff.com.

Can I transfer emails from the prior accounts to their corresponding new email accounts? If so, is it just a drag and drop matter or are there other things I should know.

I've been using Outlook to send and receive email for my AOL account for about ten years. Last October, a bug occurred on the AOL site, "temporarily" removing users' ability to generate a 16-character server password. This did not create a problem for me until I changed my AOL email password a few days ago. Now I can see my old email in Outlook and I can view new email via iPhone, Thunderbird or the AOL website, but I can no longer send or receive email in Outlook. This has happened to a lot of people in the last three months, and no one at AOL seems to want to fix the problem.

I saw the following remark from someone who was in a similar situation:

"The only fix I have found is to use Thunderbird. Thunderbird allows you to manually switch the server authentication to Oauth so it can use your email password instead of an app-generated one."

That made me curious enough to download and set up Thunderbird V102.7.1 (64-bit), and it does allow me to view my recent email. My goal is have the same viewing experience as I had with Outlook; that is, an Inbox folder in the left margin for recent email that requires follow-up, and about 240 other folders where I'm storing receipts, business conversations, and anything else that I may one day need to look up.

To that end, I was hoping that the "easy" way to do that would be to:

1. Find a software product that will convert my Outlook PST files to a format that TB can import 2. Import the converted files into TB

The first problem I'm hitting with that approach is that when I select Import from Outlook in TB, I get a bright red "No profile found" message. Does that message mean that TB is looking unsuccessfully for something in my Outlook installation? Does it mean that TB is looking for one of my profile names (e.g. "Default-User") instead of Outlook? Or do I perhaps need to create another profile in TB and name it Outlook?

I haven't tried converting PST files yet, and I may wait on that until I have an answer to the import question.

OK, one other question, and it involves a very low-tech approach to solving my problem. It would go something like this:

1. In Outlook, move all email from Inbox folder to a new folder named "000 - Temp" 2. In Outlook, pick a folder, e.g., "Amazon" 3. In Outlook, drag all email from the Amazon folder to the Inbox folder 4. Wait for the Inbox folder on the TB email page to "find" and display the email that was just moved there 5. Create an Amazon folder in TB and move the messages from TB Inbox to TB Amazon 6. Repeat steps 2 thru 5 for every folder in Outlook

I already know this would be painfully slow and tedious. My question is, will the TB Inbox actually find and display messages shortly after I move them from one of my other folders?

For some reason, this new version of Thunderbird (I think it is the one before 102.7.1) is placing emails in my junk folder, including messages I have not marked as junk. Before all the junk messages would stay in my inbox but they would be marked as junk. That is what I prefer. Now messages that are legit are somehow being put in my junk folder. Please please please help me to get Thunderbird to stop doing this.

I've had Thunderbird for a long time and never really had any issues. About 6 months ago I found that I could not send emails from my account. I can receive emails...I just can't send any. When I started looking at things, I noticed a small padlock over the envelope icon by both mine and my wife's email address...but not on our business address. We can send emails from our business address but not from the 2 emails with the padlock on the envelope icon.

Please help...it has become extremely frustrating.

For the past several TB updates my create new mail windows are stuck on my screen. I cannot move them around unless I inch it along corner by corner. It remembers the last position and opens it again there. I used to be able to move around the compose window without a problem. Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

I'm on Mac OS 12.6, TB 102.5.1 (waiting for the Windows 36 bug to be fixed before updating).
