I had to reset win10 and used a satellite drive to move all my Mozilla and Thunderbird app/files in their entireity via drag and drop to the drive. I got tbird installed and all my current inbox messages are there but i cannot find my folders and their subs, this is how I pay my monthly bills, with each folder representing the summation of bill paying for several years. My reciepts of payment as well as pass information is in those folders and my bills have to be paid on the 1st. I had years of data in there and I cannot find it. Please help, fast. Thanks, Arthur

I want to connect one of my Gmail account using OAuth2 and I face a blank page after accessing the Google connection page and entering my email address. It only happens on this account.
I have no issues to connect other Gmail accounts, and I tested 4 of them. Is there a way to know where does the issue come from and/or how to solve this? I already applied everything advised in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatic-conversion-google-mail-accounts-oauth20, to no avail.

When I started working from home, I bought my own domain and used my email address from that domain by forwarding the email to my Zen Internet ISP, where I picked it up. Most people have that address. However, unless I'm missing something, in Thunderbird, I can set it up as the default Reply To address, but not as a permanent From address, so, unless I use the Custom Address each time, people end up with a second or third or fourth email address for me in their Contacts. I assume it's not possible to set up a permanent Custom Address?

I am running TB 113.0.2 and as of the last couple weeks when I go to compose a message from my main account the from field comes up with another accounts email address. I've done all the account setting/outgoing server rebuilds and made sure the user name and description fields are the same. I've checked in the individual accounts in the outgoing server settings. What next? I've deleted the account in outgoing server and added it back. Nothing seems to work. Never had this problem before. I would say it's been going on for about 2-3 weeks. Took me a while to discover it. I see the problem now. i have another computer running TB 103 and i have NO problem with it. So that tells me it's something TB messed up with one of the updates......

I tried using Braxmail, which is a fine Thunderbird product. However, I am wanting to get my Apple Mail program on to the Thunderbird platform and do away with Braxmail. This is because of where I live, using the BraX2 phone is not working for me. I want to access my mail from my iphone, which isn't supported on the Brax phone. (That phone is Google and Apple free.) I want to be able to change over all my Braxmail info on to the Thunderbird version of Apple Mail, and then do away with Braxmail. But because Braxmail is already using Thunderbird, is it actually possible to set up another Thunderbird version for Apple Mail? I can't delete Braxmail, as there's too much valuable info there. I need to import it to Thunderbird' Apple Mail equivalent. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks! Paul

Migration problems: 1. Import of accounts and address books from v102 was not automatic. Shouldn't it be? Not even any instruction that this was available. (Should include user defined tags as well.) 2. So I set up my accounts as new - imap settings were found OK. But then I scratched arround trying to hook up my address books. Then I found the import function. But when I tried to use it the program crashed. (Note, my .default folder is on a different drive.) I am sticking with v102.

My question is in the subject line. "Will the new Supernova interface and Thunderbird redesign cause problems with or disable old extensions?"
It's very frustrating to have to spend hours finding extension replacements when the old ones no longer work. The last time a TB update changed things like this, I had to waste a lot of time doing this. I had to hold off on updating TB for weeks in fact, because doing so would have disabled so many critical extensions that I was using. Eventually, I was able to find replacement extensions (usually having to embrace feature degradation though) and in other cases simply had to give up conveniences that I had grown to take for granted.
I don't welcome the prospect of having to do this kind of thing all over again.
The attached screenshot shows the problem I have. Need to increase permanently the font size of the message text panel. Thank you.

What does repair folder actually do?
A search online gets answers like 'it rebuilds the index', but that's not very explanatory. Does it recreate the index by looking at the folder contents or by going back to the server and downloading emails again?
After a couple of odd things happening (emails appearing in the web version of Gmail, but not in my Thunderbird Inbox), I decided to repair my Inbox. It's an IMAP account with Gmail, and has got over 700 messages in it (yes I know, time for a clear out...).
Thunderbird went slow for quite a long time (like half an hour at least), and messages kept flashing up in the status bar at the bottom saying stuff like "Downloading message 237 of 700". When clicking on messages with large attachments, while the repair was apparently still underway, the messages took some time to load, though they seem to be about normal now.
Was it really downloading emails? I ask, because I have some archive folders MUCH bigger than the Inbox, and would like to know what to expect if I have to repair other folders.
For info: Thunderbird 91.11.0 (64-bit) running under Linux Mint 19.1

Hey,
Been using PGP with Thunderbird for some time and was wondering if there is a simple way to handle key migration.
Ex. I have my personal Key1 which is good for 3 years, then after three years I have a new key (Key2). Is there a way to re-encrypt all emails in my inbox to key2 from key1?
I don't want to loose my email archive when I change keys, nor do I want to keep an ever growing list of private keys just so I can refer back to older emails.

Using TB version 102.10.1. Been recently getting messages from three different senders that I wish to delete before they hit my inbox. I read the help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/blocking-sender and followed the directions to set up a Block List filter, adding the senders to it. It seems to work automatically for two of the senders but not the other...I have to manually run the filter to make it work. Seems kinda pointless when, if it hits my inbox, I can just delete it anyway. Any ideas why it is still getting through the filter and how to fix it? See screenshots attached.

Good day, Thunderbird is set as default email client But when I click some email link in web browser, hoping Thunderbird shall start new mail with this address - Thunderbird starts and shows me pop-up window offering to create new account. I already have few accounts so I close this pop-up window and then I have email compose window left - on:y, email address gets never inserted into "To" field. So I have to copy/paste it, every time. So weird. How to make TB work, normally - new email window with email address inserted, on link click??

Hi,
I have been trying to export my contacts into constant contact as csv file format where it is editable.
I go to tools, address book, then export and then it goes to make a back up file of Thunderbird instead of saving all my contacts as a csv file for each contact.
I am a regular contributor to Thunderbird.
Please help.
Any help via a live human being. I am a senior citizen.

Have several email profiles in Thunderbird. A couple have grown quite large. I move messages to folders as I need access a lot of information going back years.
Am also being forced (godaddy) to migrate to MS365 / Outlook. Grrrr.
What I want to do but don't quite know how to come at this is... back up all messages. Inbox as well as saved messages underneath their respective profiles. Ideally, would like to then reinstall Thunderbird and start fresh, BUT, I need to be able to access old emails.
Anyone suggest how to come at this? Thinking there must be a way of saving the many, many messages to respective files, then using a program?? to read the saved, or archived, or is there another term, while starting a fresh Tbird installation?
Not ideal is running a Virtual Machine and having a version of Thunderbird running which can look at all messages.
Or, is there another way to export/save/etc to a directory, and have a proggie look at/view/read.. these stored/saved/archived emails and attachments?

I have a Mac Mini and MBP both running Thunderbird for several years. Starting recently, presumably after a Mozilla auto update, whenever I check my email on the MBP, I typically delete a few emails, but then later when I check my email on my Mac Mini the deleted emails are back in my inbox.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
Thanks.
