Some spammer got my email and I'm getting a slew of messages every day. Apple flags them and puts them in my Junk folder. However, either Apple or Thunderbird occasionally flags a real email as spam, and puts it in the same folder. With the number of real spam messages in that folder, it's getting harder and harder to filter by hand.

What I'd like to do is write a Manual filter and run it on the Junk folder, and move the highly likely spam to a local folder that I'll review periodically (or never if I can get a good enough algorithm down)

However, nothing I craft operates on the Junk folder - even a simple rule like "Original-Recipient" contains my address does anything. I even took my complex set of matches and made it Any instead of All - nothing.

Suggestions on what I might do very welcome!

(After the hacker attack we had to restore the encrypted mail from an older backup) The IMAP profile has been restored from backup, msgFilterRules.dat set as before backup, but incoming mail subject to filters remains in INBOX. But when manually running any filter, it moves particular message to the target folder. I've searched dozen of messages at support.mozilla.org for relevant topics, but my problem is not described.

The pattern of the rule that does not work: name="[rule name]" enabled="yes" type="17" action="Move to folder" actionValue="imap://account.name@mail.domain.cz/INBOX/existing destination folder" condition="AND (all addresses,contains,name@domain.cz) AND (all addresses,doesn't contain,my.name)"

All my colleagues on the same domain, with IMAP accounts, have this problem. TB 102.11.2 (64-bit) WIN 10

Is there any help? Thanks for the advice.

Up until I upgraded to the beta circuit today, I was using TB V102.<something>

I use a third-party desktop configuration program called WindowBlinds to set system colors and themes; it has always been able to set colors in Thunderbird with no issue... until I installed this beta version... Now, I simply get black text on bright white background, regardless of WindowBlinds theme.

So I tried falling back on using Thunderbird settings... in Settings-> General -> Fonts & Colors, I have tried all combinations that I could think of, but *none* of them affect the Local Folders Folders and Messages display colors.

Specifically, I have: > Enabled "Allow messages to use other fonts" > Under Colors window, have both set and cleared "Use system colors" If I SET "Use system colors", then all of the Settings tabs use the WindowBlinds colors, but neither Local Folders nor Calendar use them. If I CLEAR "Use system colors", then all of the Settings tabs use the fgnd/bgnd colors that I specify in the Colors dialog.

I *really* want *all* of the windows to use my system colors, which were set by WindowBlinds... that's how it all worked before... that bright-white background on the message panes is Ghastly!!! I cannot bear to look at it...

I have "allow remote content" enabled yet these warnings still appear. All of the emails in my work inbox are from a trusted source, therefor these warnings do not serve any purpose and are more annoying than beneficial. For some reason I can't use the element inspector in developer tools on this window but if I could hide the warning with a userchrome.css file that would also be nice too. I have tried that but it didn't seem to do anything. Here is what I did.

  1. mail-notification-top{

display: none; }

I also have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets set to true (not sure why this isn't the default setting to avoid confusion)

I have several email addresses, some are POP and others are IMAP. On one of my IMAP accounts, I have Junk, Known Spam, Sent Spam, Suspect Email and Virus Blocker folders, along with the usual Inbox, Drafts,Sent and Trash folders. I'd like to remove the Sent Spam and Known Spam folders but can't find a way to do so as Thunderbird won't allow it. I can delete subfolders I've created, but not these. Help anyone?

I could also settle with it remembering it's current settings at shutdown like Firefox does.

I want to offer a problem and solution. This information could be added to the help topic that includes the paragraph "What if I want to see my ignored threads?"

Problem: I accidentally ignored a subthread. How can I reverse that setting? Context: Thunderbird Version 102.11.2, Windows 10.

Solution: I right-clicked on the message in the message list pane. Although “ignore subthread” was not checked, I clicked it anyway. This toggled the setting to off. The information message bar disappeared and the symbol in column “Thread” reverted to normal.

Note: the tentative solution I picked up from the existing help topic did not work. I set View – Threads – I checked All and Ignored Threads. This changed nothing.

My question is in the subject line. "Will the new Supernova interface and Thunderbird redesign cause problems with or disable old extensions?"

It's very frustrating to have to spend hours finding extension replacements when the old ones no longer work. The last time a TB update changed things like this, I had to waste a lot of time doing this. I had to hold off on updating TB for weeks in fact, because doing so would have disabled so many critical extensions that I was using. Eventually, I was able to find replacement extensions (usually having to embrace feature degradation though) and in other cases simply had to give up conveniences that I had grown to take for granted.

I don't welcome the prospect of having to do this kind of thing all over again.

Hello,

When I receive new IMAP emails, Thunderbird a loads the header of the email automatically and can tell me that a new email has arrived.

Unfortunately when I click into each email I have to wait for each one to load when loading for the first time. How can I set Thunderbird so that all new and existing emails are already preloaded in the background such that when I tap into the email it is already loaded?
