Hi,

Will this get worse? I am using TB since 20 years, 16 Years on MAC and some functionality is missing since then, like Calendas integration ... at least the address book worked ... until today: I just migrated to M2 Mac and -like all other mac Mx users - can't use the address book.

Would youy pls write a fox for this bug? I would also appreciate a small tool to fix the security registration, and not to rely on that I install an old version and ,maybe corrupt my mail files ...

and, BTW,we are working with this mac, it's not playtime

Thunderbird runs like frozen molasses most of the time.

I've noticed that it throws millions of page faults by the end of the morning, and is constantly thrashing my drives.

Why does Thunderbird throw millions of page faults?

If I compose a long e-mail or if Thunderbird is open for more than a short period of time it will not send an e-mail. I have a workaround. I have to close the e-mail and save it as a draft. I then close Thunderbird and immediately reopen, reopen the saved draft, and send it. That works only if Thunderbird is not open for more than a few minutes. It is like Thunderbird is disconnecting from the internet after a few minutes. I have been using this program for Years and have not changed any setting that I know of. This seems to have happened after an update several months ago.

Within the last month Thunderbird is not formatting emails correctly. It's showing the language or formatting behind the email. I'm attaching a screenshot. How do I troubleshoot this?

Ubuntu 20.04, Thunderbird 102.7.1 (64 bit). The context menu (right click) flickers, sometimes to the point of invisibility, making it impossible to select an option.

Hi Team, This issue of rendering to print has been around for a while, but I thought I'd bring up. A Newsletter I receive sometimes shows a poll result (see image; Screen Newsletter Poll Result) It looks like it is done by stretching an image to fit the ratio.

… I pulled that code for one of the bars from the "View Source" option.

In Print though, it looks quite different (see image; Print Newsletter Poll Result 1 page only) The first bar takes up 5 pages. The image, POLL_bars_blue.jpg, is 1×20px, so why Thunderbird renders it to 5 pages deep rather than just 20px did make me wonder.

Does anyone have a clue? Can it be constrained somehow?

I'm using thunderbird on linux. I deleted messages today. delete button above the email. there was a lot of news. it turned out that the letters did not end up in the trash locally or in gmail. how can i recover messages? when there is no trace of them in the baskets.

Hello! I recieve Relaying denied error when try to send mail to any email adress, except internal (work). It's apear after update to 91.0.1 vers and newer. Last known worked version is Thunderbird 78.14.0. In other Mail clients (the Bat) works fine. All account settings is right. Only one SMTP server is configured.

please help me fix this! I don't know how or where to go to reconnect Earthlink and Thunderbird

this happened after I had to get a new router and whatever that other thing is called that helps connect to the internet, when the old one went bad. Of course this happened after the technician that put the new 2 in one unit in left.

Thunderbird asked me if I wanted to automatically compact the folders. Right after I choose YES. I can no longer view some of my emails. THere is some kind of email code instead. Here is a sample. below...

How can I fix this to view my emails...normally??

Hello, just after opening Thunderbird I can see in folder "send" a lot of empty emails are self-sending without my action with no subject, no address & no text inside. When I open other folder and back to "send" I can see that during this time they were not sending. When I open my mailbox by other email software or WWW this problem is not existing. So, they seems to be fake in Thunderbird but I cannot use any more TB. I attached print screen of "send" folder (unfortunately in Polish - sorry no solution). Please help. BR Mat

I am using Thunderbird on different computers withe the same accound with a shared local folder. Recently subfolders have disappeared from the local message folder.

But they are still there when I check in the folder on my hard drive.

I tried to erase various files, but no change :

- global-messages-db.sqlite - session.json - virtualFolders.dat - folderCache.json - folderTree.json

Anyone any idea what to do next? Thnks for your help! Martin

Good morning. I use thunderbird with a 365 account to manage my mail. I set the option "mail.server.default.check_all_folders_for_new" to true to get all folders when I refresh the email. The problem is that at startup I get an error saying "the current operation on [FOLDER] did not succeed the mail server for account [ACCOUNT] responded [FOLDER] doesn't exist" (see screenshot). I got it for several folders. The problem is that these folders are all deleted or renamed folder that doesn't exist in 365 and if I go to account > subscribe these folder doesn't exist. My guess is that internally thunderbird saved the old folder to be refreshed and never removed it. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks

We have used Thunderbird for 12 years. We do NOT use another email with Thunderbird. (I have Gmail, but it is separate.) When messages have failed to save to Sent, I have always until today blamed our horrible ISP. Now that I see others have this issue, maybe it isn't Windstream after all! Once this issue continued for a whole month, but then resolved. Now, it is intermittent and is maddening. I try to remember to send myself a bcc, but I often forget.

This week the problem got worse when messages that "seemed" to be in sent are blank when called up. Again, I am not mixing up Thunderbird with any other email handler.

I strongly prefer Thunderbird due to the filing system which is far superior to Gmail. I do not want to abandon Thunderbird.

Thunderbird on my iMac has now just started crashing out when trying to start the program; Thunderbird starts and runs on my laptop with no change - but now for no apparent reason it starts to open but crashes and sends off report of the crash; Tried to start it in troubleshoot mode and it crashes also. I have loads of folders with info inside thunderbird this and I don't want to lose that; Can this be migrated in some way? Cant see a solution to the crashes in the community info or discussions - what should be my next steps? The emails are now still accessible via my website console - but now not via thunderbird. There was an issue at the server which is now fixed - but Thunderbird still will not start. Thanks.

I am using Thunderbird 52.9.1 on XPMode (virtual Windows XP) and since quite some time my OAuth2 Gmail accounts have stopped working from Thunderbird 52.9.1: I am requested to enter password and other stuff but then nothing happens in terms of receiving (IMAP) or sending (SMTP) emails.

Are there any ways (tips/tricks, advanced or not) to have OAuth2 Gmail accounts working again on Thunderbird 52.9.1?

My boss is noticing his TB is opening emails as in new tabs on its own, without him doing so. On occasion, emails will open as new tabs when he clicks on the email once, but most times it is without him even clicking on them. We checked the connection with his wireless mouse and gave it a new set of batteries, but the problem persists. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Message filters tool freezes.

1) I click on Tools\Message Filters. 2) TB shows the Message Filters dialog. 3) I select an existing filter. 4) I click on Edit.. 5) Message Filters dialog freezes. 6) I have to End Task Thunderbird from Task Manager.

I just upgraded to the latest TB: 102.7.0. Windows 10 with all latest updates. 1316 filters (yeah, I have a lot of filters.)

The freezing of the Message Filters dialog happened in the recent previous versions of TB.

I love TB and have been using it for many years. But, I'm getting a ton of emails these days and I dearly need to setup new filters and edit existing filters. I may need to consider moving to another email software app if I can't get the Message Filters to work.
