Don't know where you picked it up, so if you could could be more specific it would help others -- and it seems you almost have a handle on where it came from -- as I see someone filed a bug report and bugzilla is probably not a good place to post such vague problems to developers when more information can probably be gathered from other users here. I definitely see other having problems not necessarily in or limited to Firefox because they don't say. Many virus protectors and gratuitous warnings that popup that you have a virus and tell you that you should/must install the offered software/scan are scams, be sure to research before you install keeping in mind that they are very good at getting themselves listed at the beginning of Google search results for short periods of time, especially in items marked as advertisements. ABP also helps to separate and block advertisements from actual Google search results.
