The server you choose on Mozilla VPN and your Internet connection determine your browsing speed, and consequently the quality of content you access online. Run a speed test to find out what type of content you can best access at your current speed and to get some tips to speed up your connection.
Launch a speed test
These are the steps you need to follow:
- Open Mozilla VPN.
- Turn on the VPN.
- Select the performance icon in the top left corner of the application.
Results
Once the speed test is complete, the Upload and Download speed of your server will appear in your screen. Based on the results, you'll also see tips on how to improve your connection and what activities it is optimized for.
Slow Speed
This will indicate that a connection is slow and advise you to:
- Switch server locations
- Check Internet connection
Medium Speed
The app will not indicate any troubleshooting steps, but rather inform you what the connection speed is optimized for.
High Speed
Connection speed is optimized for high bandwidth usage, including 4K streaming and online gaming.
