The Firefox Private Network Beta offers browser-level or device-level protection to protect you online. Our free browser extension protects web browsing within Firefox. Our paid VPN protects all internet connections on a device and is currently available for Windows 10 computers, Android and iOS devices.

Firefox Private Network protects you against spying and eavesdropping. It does this by masking your IP address and routing your web traffic through our partners’ secure servers. This stops eavesdroppers on public Wi-Fi networks, protects your browsing history from internet service providers so that they can’t collect or sell it and hides your location from websites and data collectors that profile you to serve you targeted ads.

Device-level protection (Windows 10, Android, and iOS)

The full-device protection is a device-level VPN that provides an encrypted tunnel to the web from any application or browser on your Windows 10 desktop, iOS, and Android devices. The full-device VPN beta is currently available on Windows 10, iOS, and Android by invitation only. Linux, and MacOS are also being considered. Visit Firefox Private Network to join the waitlist.

Browser-level protection (Windows, Mac, and Linux)

The free Private Network extension encrypts the websites you visit in Firefox desktop. This stops eavesdroppers on open, public Wi-Fi from spying on your browsing activity, protects your browsing history from internet service providers so that they can’t collect or sell it and it hides your locations from websites and data collectors that profile you to target ads.
