After installing, Firefox won't open due to an (process org.mozilla.firefox) error. How can I fix this?

I've tried to install Firefox from various source, instead of Google Play, because I can't access it on my phone. But despite how many versions I've downloaded that none seem to take. One of the problems seems to be is that after the versions that have successfully installed, won't open properly. They come up with a (process org.mozilla.firefox) error, which forces me to quit the app. I've had this problem for months and I can't seem to get around it. The software my phone is android 2.3.5. So I know installing Firefox shouldn't be an issue....but it is! Please help, a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem, keeps coming up with that same error message.

"The application Firefox (process org.mozilla.firefox) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
