Authorization Code Emailed Not Accepted

I carefully inserted and checked the authorization code that was emailed to me. Each time it said it was invalid. Eventually I was locked out for 7-minutes. Even had code sent the second time. Same problem. Then a third time with it saying "Invalid authorization code" again!!!

What's the solution here? Just want to sync the new install of Fx on my cell phone.
