My home computer suddenly stopped being able to download email messages. Other computers with the same account and Thunderbird configuration work fine. I purged old messages, compacted mailboxes, re-installed Thunderbird etc. but none of these solve the problem. Clicking on Get Messages shows "Downloading 1 or 152..." but it eventually times out.
