why can't I browse files for uploading, since last Firefox update ( v53)

Does nothing when attempting to browse files on websites, e.g. Yahoo mail. Works on other browsers. Occurs since last Firefox update on Android. For info, I've adjusted camera and mic permissions to 'Ask'
