logins/passwords
I'm so incredibly dumb. I downloaded cleanmymac to free up space so I could update to Big Sur. Stupid idea cause I don't have enough space anyway and now I've lost half my saved passwords on Firefox.
I was able to recover about half by reading some articles here about the old firefox data and copying logins.json and key3 and 4 or whatever the directions were.
So is there any hope to get the rest back? I'm not 100% computer savy so this might be stupid ?, but are they on the "keychain" somewhere? Should I be asking this question on cleanmymac website?
I wish I had something to save backups to so I could just use the time machine or something, but I don't have anything external to save on. I will definitely get something to hopefully prevent this in the future.
Thanks so much for all the knowledgeable users here that provide much appreciated help!

Are you in signed with a firefox account in your browser?

Do you only have one profile folder ?
Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder, so make sure to look in the correct location. Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>
In Mac OS X v10.7 and later, the "~/Library" folder in the Home directory is a hidden folder.
Yes I'm logged in. There is only 1 profile folder but then there were two folders in that folder if that makes sense. Thanks so much for the help!
I'm pretty much out of luck, aren't I?
