Dear Mozilla Team, I would love to sign up for “Mozilla Hubs” but I am getting an “Error Verifying Email” message regardless of the email I am trying. I tried [email]@pspromotion-bremen.de and [email]@digital-stage.org. Is there anything I am doing wrong?

Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks in advance. Best Heiko

Hi Heiko,

sorry to hear this. I have not encountered this bug. I wonder if the system was down for some reason. It would be interesting to know if this is still occurring.

If it is still happening, can you let me know if the error shows up as soon as you enter your email into hubs, or when you receive the email and then click the magic link and it redirects you to hubs?

I wonder if it might be related to the hyphen in the email address (it should work, but maybe there is a bug that hasn't been reported). Do you have an email address with no hyphen in the domain you could try?

thanks for reporting this

@ ALL: Thanks for looking into this!

Yes, it seems to be the hyphen causing the error message.I tried [email]@googlemail.com a few minutes ago and that worked fine.

It would be great if using my “regular” @pspromotion-bremen.de address would be possible in the future though.

Thanks again for the “hyphen heads up”!

Really appreciated. Best Heiko
