404 when click link in webmail
Clicking a link in email from my insurance company always yields error 404, file not found. Saw notes from 2017 about removing all data about a domain but can not find a way to do that in current version. Clicked link today, 4/6/2021, got error "HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found" This has been happening for a long time. I have cleared cookies and all data, removed & reinstalled Firefox, still same issue.

There is security software like Avast, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connection certificates and send their own.
Does it work if you do a copy/paste of the link in the Firefox location bar ?
Update: This may be an error in the method the insurance company uses to construct the link in their email. The problem appears to only occur in email from this one company. I will phone the company on Monday and try to find technical support to answer this. Another update as soon as I find it, Thanks to those who have responded.
Another update: Customer Support at the Insurance company said they would have a technical person contact me for further details on my issue. I guess I will find out if they do follow up with me. More suspicious that it's not a Firefox problem, stay tuned.
It is quite possible that your security software is intercepting this link and possibly modifies the link.
Did you try to use a copy and paste to open the link in Firefox via the location/address bar ?
