You may wish to try an add-on available from the add-ons menu in Firefox for Android such as uBlock Origin that can block content in web pages.

Hi Seburo. I have taken your advice and downloaded the app from Firefox. It is early days and remains to be seen whether it has been successful, however i thank you for your advice and relieved that help is at hand for technophobes such as me. Thanks Jackie
