I am running Thunderbird 91.3.1 on a Mac Pro Big Sur version 11.6.1. I recently went on vacation and completely shut down my Mac Pro. While traveling I accessed email via webmail (charter.net), deleted some, left others in inbox to be dealt with after return, and reviewed Spam folder to identify non-spam and delete true spam. Upon booting up the system upon return and starting Thunderbird 5 of my accounts downloaded messages from the server and placed them in the respective email account Inboxes. However for one account Thunderbird will give a "No new messages" comment when clicking on the mail account and clicking Get Messages. The Inbox remains empty. In discussing the issue with my service provider we discovered that the messages were being downloaded directly to the Trash folder where all of the other saved emails in the Inbox were also found. There have been no software updates to the operating system installed upon restart after returning from vacation. I'm at a loss on where to turn next. Any help will be appreciated.
