I had Thunderbird Email installed on my laptop computer before having to reinstall windows 11. All my folders were set up and doing what I expected. Now, after reinstalling I can't get back to my original folders with all my important connections and business dealings.

Can you explain to me how I can retract and discover them? It's the same email of mshepherd@nctc.net. If not, it would be goodshepherd@nctc.net. The last email, I don't use any more.

Also, I'm like many on the web wondering why they are not able to send emails, but can receive them. Someone tried to help me in the past about this same issue, but I didn't understand what they were asking me to do. I need detailed instruction perhaps with picture diagrams. Sorry, for this reoccurring issue. Please, help me solve it.

If Dropbox didn't already backup all my files before the reinstall, then all is lost. Thank you! This is what I really needed to know. I will carry on and figure this out some other way.

If you did a full install of Windows 11, I presume it replaced everything on the hard drive. If so, all is lost. If it was a refresh with all software and documents retained, then you may find the profile still there at c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird\profiles If so, then there is a chance to recover. Let us know and we'll try to assist.

Still my other issue hasn't been solved with Thunderbird email. I am not able to send to other parties, or I am unable to tell if the email has been sent out when it remains in the Outbox. Do all emails to be sent remain in the Outbox?
