Lightning calendar after update changed the way events are color coded.

After upgrading my calendar color coding changed. It now displays the color of the calendar in each event and a thin strip of color for the type of event (busy, follow up, etc). Please see the before and after image in the "add images" section (file: calendarChange.png). I want to go back to the original display but cannot find a setting.
