Thunderbird Calendar Invites - Hyperlinks not being recongnized

I setup my Thunderbird calendar to use a Google Calendar.

When I get an email invite for a MS-Teams meeting (for example), the hyperlink for the meeting gets recognized in google is imported via google but seems to get stripped on the Thunderbird side.

The link seems to get stripped if I accept the meeting from within Thunderbird also.

So although I see the meeting, I am unable to "click" on a link to launch the appropriate conference software and log straight into the meeting.

Am I missing a setting or is it a bug?
