sorry about delay just says "sending msg" and progress bar is all blue. it stays like that except very occasionally when it works. always works second time i try to send

just noticed its ok if i send from my address book instead of a "reply" [as above] thanks

can a mod suggest how to get some help with this, thanks

I don't know if this will help for sending, but it's worked well for receiving. Anyway, you might try changing this setting - mailnews.tcptimeout - to a larger number. the default is 100 and changing to 250 or so might help. The config editor is at settings>general and scroll to bottom. You may need to exit and restart thunderbird.

hi again ...i'm back, it didn't work after a couple of goes. it remains set at 250. anymore ideas please
