I would like to have Firefox as my Primary Browser on my Andriod device and my Windows 7 PC.
I am sick and tired of Microsoft and their statements like, "Windows 7 is no longer supported". Now Google has joined them with same thing. I do NOT see Firefox doing the same thing. Probably because they are NOT tied to the functionality that Microsoft provides. This paradigm has gone on long enough. What can I do to promote Firefox as the premier Browser for all platforms. For example, instead of syncing my contacts and required to use Google on Android devices. How can we get to the point of being able to use Firefox and ditch Google when I buy an Android phone?

You can setup Firefox as your default browser app instead of Chrome in your phone's settings. Usually it calls "Default App" menu, it can be hidden under Settings > Apps > Three-dot icon > Default Apps (the actual path depends on your phone's ROM)

Look I don't mean to be rude, but you are missing the point. Firefox is NOT the driver of the Android phone. What I mean is, in order to get your phone working YOU HAVE TO USE GOOGLE. Why? I would rather use Firefox as the means to get my Contacts, Calendar, bring over my stored Photos, etc.
Sorry, I forgot Android was acquired by Google. So, this comes down to perhaps a legal action, not sure. Google needs to NOT be a monopoly on the Android platform. Not sure if that is possible. But I am just saying, as a consumer, I should have the option to use Firefox to manage my Android phone.
Of course that would mean, is Mozilla Firefox ready to be a browser that can be a management browser for cell phones?
