I installed an update and now I cannot use the mouse since it might select anything in the different pages I have tried.

Since yesterday, when I installed a firefox update, I cannot use the mouse to select pages. When selecting an drop down menu, I need to use the keyboard. When opening a file, it does not allow me to select the forefront window. Basically, the mouse is useless. This happens in different webpages and these pages work well in Chrome or Explorer. I prefer Firefox. Pls fix. Even for posting this question, I need to use the keyboard to use the drop down menu below.
