I cannot log out of either my Yahoo or Gmail accounts with Firefox.

This doesn't happen when I use Safari, only Firefox. I have the latest version of Firefox. I have a MAC, OS 10.6.8. I've tried clearing the history, clearing the cache, and clearing all cookies. No dice. When I log out of either program, it seems like it's logged me out, but even if I clear history, etc., quit Firefox, turn off the computer, turn it back on, go to yahoo or gmail two days later, etc., I'm still signed in to my mail account. Any advice much appreciated, thanks.
