how do I restore bookmarks from file on desk top
I am trying restore bookmarks from file that I back-upped. When I try to restore it keeps saying it cannot. It is back upped as a .josn file.
I had to uninstall and reinstall firefox because it was not working correctly.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
IF it still doesn't work, then Start Firefox in -> Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if your add-ons/extensions are causing the problems
- Repeat the Bookmarks Restore operation while using Firefox Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode

Check and tell if its working.
Make sure that the JSON backup has a .json file extension.
You can verify that via the right-click context menu -> Properties.
Restoring a JSON backup will replace all current bookmarks and you will get a warning about that.
