I'm having trouble with my laptop battery and my laptop completely died. I got it working again but now Firefox doesn't have my logins for some reason. The Profile folder showed logins.json, logins.json.corrupt, and logins-backup.json. I changed logins.json to logins-old.json and changed logins.json.corrupt to logins.json like I saw in many solutions but that does not work. It just becomes logins.json.corrupt again. I tried the same with Logins-backup.json but still just changed to corrupt. I refreshed firefox but still the same. I made a new profile and copied the file and tried to get it to work there but still changes back to corrupt every time. I'm Windows 8.1 so there is no Previous Versions tab in properties so I can't go back to a previous version of the file. Is there ajny way to fix this and get my passwords back?

Hi, I have recently reset my phone and lost all my Google Authenticator codes. This required me to jump through a lot of hoops to get access back to all of my accounts (I'm still in the process for some accounts). On one occasion, I had backup recovery codes, but they weren't working. I noted that some organisations have the ability to view your recovery key and codes, and others don't. Does Firefox have the ability to do this so that users know that if something happens, they will be able to recover? If not, is this something they can implement?
Kind Regards, M.

I have a IMAP server with a self signed certificate. How do I import the certificate as an exception? I've obviously done it once, because a certificate is listed in:
Server -> Privacy and Security -> Manage Certificates -> Server
I need to add a new one, for which I assume I use "Add Exception...". But that seems to only accept HTTPS locations. I tried imap://<hostname> and <hostname>:143 but neither seems to work.
Thanks.

I have trouble logging into Yahoo email using Firefox, since the last update. It gives error message that site cannot be reached. I can go into settings, Privacy and clear data and then it logs in just fine, but to do this EVERY time I try to log in is a real PITA. Does not happen on other browsers.
I suddenly can't send emails. It says "Login to account "Telstra mail" failed" and "Retry" "Enter New Password" " Cancel"

My husband sent his laptop back to the vendor to be repaired. It was returned to him fixed, and he can access all his items, EXCEPT, his Thunderbird email is asking for his password. If he cannot recall what it is, is there a way to recover it? He has access to his email via our Internet Service Provider by logging onto their website. Is it possible for Mozilla Thunderbird to send him a reset password email he can access that way? HELP!

I am trying to sign/encrypt email using Thunderbird 102.9.0 on RHEL 8.7 with a USB IdenTrust ECA. I am able to use the same ECA on Windows with Outlook and the ActivClient middleware.
In the "S/MIME Security Devices" window I have a security device "p11-kit-proxy" which shows my ECA as "ActivIdentity Activkey_Sim [CCID Bulk Interface] 00 00". I am able to "Log In" to the device.
Under "Manage S/MIME Certificates" I am able to view the two certificates from the ECA. Both have my correct email address under "Subject Alt Names". One has "Key Usages" listed as Key Encipherment and E-mail Protection. The other lists Digital Signature, Non-Repudiation, Client Authentication, E-mail Protection, Smartcard Login.
The problem occurs when I try to Select the S/MIME Personal certificate for digital signing or encryption. When I click either of those buttons I get the following error: "Certificate Manager can't locate a valid certificate that can be used to digitally sign your messages with an address of <my email address>."
It seems like the ECA certs should be available to select since Thunderbird can log into the device and view them. I've run out of ideas on how to troubleshoot this.

I leave the country for several months a year to a country that is not supported for credit card autofill, and it doesn't work while I am there. However, once I return to the U.S. the autofill menu has disappeared from the Privacy & Security Tab, so I am unable to turn autofill back on. In the past I have had to uninstall/reinstall Firefox to make credit card autofill work -- until I leave the country again. Surely I am not the only user that has had this problem and having to uninstall/reinstall is a pain that users shouldn't have. Isn't there a better way to turn this function on and off?
I didn't delete anything and when I went back into mozilla firefox nothing was saved. history, passwords, etc

Hello All, I work hard to eliminate Windows Event errors but EV 1155 Firefox Browser agent error is persistent after some reboots
I applied all the privacy and security options in the FF menu but still get the errors. I then followed the attached link to disable the browser agent which worked.
What concerns me is even after using FF Privacy & Security settings, the Browser agent startup task was still present under Mozilla in Task manager. Why is this, shouldn't the task be deleted after changing privacy settings?
I've followed all the steps in the following links and it should now be gone even after FF Updates since I changed policy settings.

Hello. Recently, it is in the Firefox browser that logins (nicknames) disappear from all pages. From inbox, facebook and others. Previously, if any nickname disappeared, then if you entered it again, it was saved. I'm not talking here about saving the auto-completion of the nickname and password. Only about the nickname (login). I don't want to save passwords on all pages. On google chrome everithing it's ok. Nicknames not disappeared. Only nicknames (logins) are stored there. Until recently, firefox was also preserved. Please fix this issue. I am already tired of writing all the nicknames every time. Again, again and again.

Usually Firefox keep the login info for almost all sites that we need to login! I have a site that i have to login periodically and it requires 3 fields to login! A user name A subscription key (password) and a third which is my VAT number! My Vat number i remember it and that's not a problem! But the other 2 fields i would like Firefox to remember them! I manually registered a login entry for that site but firefox gives me nothing when i enter the site? Any ideas why and how can i solve this problem? Thank you!

I am trying to find my saved passwords, for Google but they aren't showing up in the saved password list. They are somewhere. If I open Gmail, I go straight in without any asking for a password. Same thing with Youtube. Open it up and I'm already logged in. I even purchased something in Youtube without needing any password verification.
But the passwords/usernames are not appearing in the firefox list of saved logins. It just isn't there. Are they saved somewhere else? Or is there a special setting for looking at all login information?
I really REALLY don't want to reset my password yet again and have to change them all across a dozen different devices in three different physical locations.
Where are the google/youtube/google play passwords saved in Firefox? Because they are not under the general list.
