Hey, just got a new phone and I want to mass migrate all of my tabs in old phone to new one but apparently Samsung Switch can't do that, and neither Firefox sync does. Do I have to open every tab one-by-one by hand or is there a shortcut to send all of my old phone tabs to new one ?

Thanks.

Yesterday I started using the latest versions of Firefox on my Macbook Air and iPhone. I am signed in with the same login information on both devices. I have turned on Sync in both places, and hit "Sync," but the bookmarks haven't come through. I saw this: " Go to the menu ( on iOS or on Android) and tap Sync and save data." But there is no "Sync and save data" when I click on the iOS menu. Or "ready to scan." Like I said, going around in circles. When I try to use the QR code, I'm consistently told that I have to do it from within the FF app... which I believe I'm doing -- the little QR reader to the right of the search bar. Please see attached shots?

I just finished setting up my new pc with Windows 11 (Feb 2023 updates) and installed Firefox 110.0.1) and wanted to transfer my logins, passwords, etc, from my Android 12 Phone's Firefox 110.1.0, and other pcs. A window popped up giving instructions how to sync my phone, as follow:

      • Sync Firefox on you phone or tablet. 1) open Firefox on your Mobile Device. 2) Go to the menu (<ios>&<android>menu examples shown) and tap sync and save data. 3. Tap ready to scan and hold your phone over this code.***

I'm 73, have used Firefox since first release in 2004. In all these years I have never seen SYNC in the instructions to "sync and save and to point the phone at a barcode-thingy" or at least not in this world. The instructions made it seem like SYNC was right there to see, but I had to dig thru layes of options to finally find it. You can blaim it on my 73 yr old brain, I guess, but nothing like these instructions exist in Windows or Android firfox. What in the world are your programmers smokin' these days. I would just as soon open up Edge or Chrome and did up the passwords I need to log into my banking and creditcard accounts...heck, it seems like MAYBE I should just dump Firefox after almost 20 years and just use those other browsers. At least there instructions are much simpler that this ol' man can follow. Please have someone review your published helps info on your webpages, and help those Sr. citizens like me to more easily find what we need without calling up grandsons or granddaughters for help (their parents are worse than I am at most techy stuff!) I have an account to sync my Firefox the only way to get this message to you and I’m not even sure whether it’s going to you or not, when I see you, I mean the developers the people with the answers. I get my username email and password correct and then it wants to send an email with the code to the email address that unfortunately the operator close down so that I have no way of checking that email address anymore. There is no link anywhere except to resend so I am very confused. How to regain access to this. The email addresses yourhighness@mailtag.com. I have the password, but if you look into mailtag.com You will see about 8 to 10 years ago it shows it’s doors and the guy running it close down the site so I know my password I know the username which is my email but I can’t get into it. It seems very silly that there is no way to fix us. Oh they might be and I’m not aware of it so if you could point me in the right direction, I would be appreciated.

For example, using QRCode and symmetric key cryptography, password information can be sent directly from a PC to a phone. I think so.

I had about 500 tabs on FF on my iphone open. The browser crashed and now all of those seem to be gone. "Recently Closed" is empty. Starting the browser just opens an empty page. I had sync turned one but oh magic the synced tabs pretty much immediately diappeared from the other devices as well. Any ideas how I might be able to recover those tabs? Could they still be saved somewhere on the iphone or in the cloud?

Hi, I use Firefox on my Samsung S21 ultra, I am soon getting a Samsung S23 ultra. I have my account synced so I know it will save the bookmarks and site passwords. I am assuming sync doesn't include app settings, shortcuts I have created on front screen and collecting I have made? Is there any way to back them up see I can move them across? Regards James
