In Thunderbird (v. 102.9.0), I have all folders set to the same column structure. I have used the add-on XNote++ for a long time and it used to work fine. Now, however, when I open Thunderbird or even activate the window after coming out of "sleep" mode, either (1) the XNote++ column is moved from the extreme right of the window (where I want it) to the extreme left; or (2) the column disappears altogether. This happens only for the first folder that is active. If I switch to another folder, the columns are correct. So each time I have to go through the process of copying another folder's column structure to the corrupted folder.

I don't know whether this is a result of a new release of Thunderbird or some change in XNote++, but it didn't used to act this way. Any suggestions?

I get emails via Thunderbird on both my iphone and laptop. Deleting from one does not delete on the other. So I have to go through emails twice deleting the same ones. What control am I missing?

Even though I have the settings correct in the browser ('Open previous tabs and windows' checked under Startup in the General settings section), Firefox suddenly stopped doing this. I went to help and have tried everything suggested (for example, in this article -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1365225) to no avail. I generally have to have at least a dozen tabs open at a time due to the nature of my work and it is time-consuming and frustrating to have to re-open the every time.

I have tried the 'restore previous session' under the History menu but that is not an option given. So that isn't working for me either. 'Recently closed tabs' is an option but is greyed out / doesn't work.

It is possible that this is a result of a recent update as Firefox has been almost daily been asking me to update. But I do not know how to go 'back' to last version if that is the case ... or how to turn off the annoying update messages.

So what is going on?

I have physical limitations and need to use middle mouse button to scroll.

However, in Firefox, middle mouse button to scroll is interrupted whenever the mouse hovers over a hyperlink or linked object -- and, fun fact, there are A LOT of links on the Internet, so this equates to a very janky and sub-optimum experience, in my personal use-case.

How can I make it so that the middle mouse button functionality is not hijacked by mouse-over context? I've already tried/disabled middle-mouse-button-click-to-open-link-in-new-tab.

I can no longer use Firefox as my search engine, when setting long-press hotkey functions in oxygen os (android 11).

I can choose firefox as the search engine and it is set to default browser. Setting the option to flash the screen edges when it activates, shows that it tries to open, when I long press the button. It just doesn't open

the function works if I set Googles search assistant to be the default search engine.

Is this due to an update?

I used to be able to install an extension, and than see it automatically pin itself on my toolbar now I have to select the add ons and theme icon on toolbar and manually pin each extension I install one by one. I do not want to have to keep doing this. Will someone please tell me what is going on and how to revert this back to how it originally was?

I have the plasma browser integration extension and the corresponding package for my distro. But it doesn't work and I get the "failed to connect to native host" message. Am I doing something wrong? I have a new laptop so needed to install an adblock. The search results page gave many choices. However, no matter which one I clicked on it said this page is not available in your region. Now how is that possible seeing as on my previous laptop and in the same region I could install the add on? I have had to use a VPN to install the adblocker. Please explain how regions prevent the installation and why it happens. Firefox is universal or so I thought.

I was totally blindsided by the changes imposed by the switch to this feature. Having now read up on it I can understand the need for it, but IMHO the implementation is... not optimal. Why do we have to have two "overflow" icons? Why could the two functions (traditional overflow list and new Extensions Management) not be maintained under a single button/function as before? (I don't care which symbol would be used, but splitting up the access to these functions? Come on!) AND why can we no longer order the items on the new overflow menu the way we want? --at least, I haven't found a way to move them around. Further, when extensions say that they "Can't read and change data on this site", does that mean that the extension is broken, nonfunctional, locked out, etc., or are we required to do something to restore it to functionality? -And if so, do we have to do this for every extension, on every site? Let me just say, not a huge fan at this point. Ugh.

Hello, I've been dealing with this issue for some time now, but I don't know when it started. One day pages started being displayed with Impact as my body copy, but I never changed anything about my fonts in Firefox. I thought it was something with my system fonts, but I've since uninstalled copies of Impact on my Windows 10 PC. I'm not sure where else to look, but Impact is a difficult font to read as it's super bold & condensed. Makes reading body copy, especially small type, hard to navigate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is there a way to completely remove the bookmark editor? I have it configured to not show when adding a bookmark and would like to not see it when removing it. The button in the addres bar should toggle between add/remove with no ui.

I used to be able to have a few months of incoming emails in Thunderbird. As updates came in, my settings got all messed up and I am lucky to have a few emails in my inbox. No good to search because there are not many there. My internet provider has very little support for Thunderbird, so I cannot reset my preferences to keep my emails in the inbox. Sometimes emails don't send, and the app has become a real hassle. I had used it close to 20 years and have given repeated donations to Mozilla. How can we get our Thunderbird back to being a good email app, like it used to be?

I'm not sure the topic I chose is the best, but...

I have many(!) accounts and it's become a bit unwieldy. I would like to know if there is a way to set up my main window so I can see my favorite inboxes at the top of the list, but in a unified view. Then the rest can be "un-unified." The current unified view shows all the inboxes and there are too many to sift through. I would like a few prioritized ones to be grouped together. The rest can be grouped (unified) separately.

I am pretty sure that at one time mouse-over on the From field would show the sender's address. I am running 102.9.0 (32-bit) and it is not doing that, so I would like to know how to turn it on ? Given it works in Gmail, Yahoo and AOL, this is a pretty common feature.

And I see this as kind of a Security issue as it means I have to open the message to see if the email address is bogus or not. For example, I just got an email from "ADT Security Services <laughing@n4.funnyeditor.com>" , which shows up in From as "ADT Security Services", and accidentally clicked on Unsubscribe. It obviously did not go to ADT.

Thunderbird used to have a great edit address GUI. Simple - all on one screen. Now it is on the bottom, one block at a time and all the data is far apart vertically. And above that is a dark screen of other addresses I don't about. YOU screwed up a perfectly clean product to make it the end all data base. I used to recommend it to others. No more. Carl Keil

One day, all my Push Notifications on websites like Youtube and such are suddenly going on my Windows 10's action center instead of just showing it on the web browser like it normally does.

Was this a update change or some setting I accidentally changed? (or changed on me) And How do I switch it back?

I tried to to disable it by going into about:config and changing: alerts.useSystemBackend.windows.notificationserver.enabled to false.

But it didn't work. It still pops in the Windows 10 Action Center, which I don't want.

This is not that Firefox I loved, now it feels like I use the f***ing Chrome. So, I have question - why I need use Firefox, if I can use Chrome instead? I have Google account and I can use it with Chrome with full synchronization to my phone, why I still use Firefox? Customization? Speed? Optimization? Why? There is no reason anymore.
