Hi,

So, it looks like snapd went ahead and updated my Firefox.... Grrrrr

Now I'm unable to access my profile information. (passwords, tabs, extensions, history, etc)

When I try, I get a pop-up telling me that using an older version if Firefox can lead to profile data corruption. However, I'm trying to use FF version 109.0.1 (64-bit), which should be very new.

How can I get my profile data back?

Thanks in advance,

Mike Diehl.

When newest FF version opens, it cannot see any of the data that is in each of my three older profiles. I've switched to each one and each one appears empty with the new version. Is there some new step to take in this version when switching profiles? How to bring an older version of Firefox and older profiles from Backup to replace what's now unworkable... and regain my important data? Thank you for your timely, much needed help.

Wanted to completely remove Thunderbird and start from scratch by setting up my emails one by one with their passwords. Removing & reinstalling Thunderbird reinstalled it as it was before I deleted it requiring the master password. How can I completely remove Thunderbird so I can set it up from scratch.

I have just followed the guide to migrate TB to new PC, and am now using source profile on destination PC. However, none of the local folders and e-mails can be seen on new PC. Right clicking on the profile to see its properties, and it contains 15,000 files, and 113 folders, but TB doesn’t show any of them. What am I missing?

Howdy, fellow Firefox aficionados.

I'm running FF on a Windows 10 Home 64-bit desktop. Some time ago, I suddenly could no longer open Firefox because it couldn't find my Profile. So, I attempted to create a new one, but it would not allow me to do so.

"Changes Not Saved"

"An unexpected Error has prevented your changes from being saved."

[See uploaded Image]

More than likely, either I, or one of my system maintenance programs wiped some data or folder. I have deleted Firefox and reinstalled it with the latest version, but this dilemma persists.

Thanks for reading my post and if you reply, a big Thanks!

Dear Mozilla support,

I have a Windows 10 machine that I'd like to apply new security settings to each user (block dangerous downloads, disable pop-up windows, automatic updates set, etc.). Is there a way I can create a few new security setting and push them to all the user on a machine?

If there is, would the process be the same for Windows 2019 server and Ubuntu?

Thank you, Bert

Welcome back. I cannot restore bookmarks and passwords as instructed on the Firefox website. I don't have old data. AVF TuneUp scanned the system and automatically installed driver updates for me. After the update, the system crashed - Windowws10 Pro and the recovery function did not work. I had to turn on auto repair, with the option to keep my files. The files remained, but all installed applications were automatically removed as well. About Firefox after automatic repair did not keep passwords, bookmarks. I have a Firefox account and I had it before the failure. Because, based on the advice from Firefox, I cannot restore passwords, accounts and bookmarks (I do not have a copy on my computer) and there is no direct contact link on the help page so that I can send an email asking for help, VERY, VERY Mister please provide a link who will help me, to the person who will restore all the data from my account. Data necessary for work. So I PLEASE HELP AND GIVE A LINK TO THE PERSON WHO WILL HELP ME and restore my bookmarks, accounts and passwords in Firefox. best regards Grażyna

Good Morning,

In my organization some years ago I pushed to have Firefox as our default browser and finally was accepted. It has been very good as we have over 10K employees using it. However this last week there has been a new release that forces you to create a new profile, one that is achieved all of you original settings and data are gone. We are a health care organization and cannot have this. I sent the fix (about:profiles) to our triage support department. However once the old profile is chosen and made the default. It will revert back to the new one each time you restart or the next day. I need a permanent fix, is there a way to update the old profile to the new version of Firefox? Shouldnt it stay the default once you make it so? I am getting inundated with calls over this, please send the fix asap.

Suddenly! Cannot open Firefox because of the error message: "Firefox profile missing or unavailable."

I found the profile in my Library.

Looked for internet advertised "Firefox profile manager," but could not find it. Only one I could find was obsolete.

Thank you.
