After moving to Firefox 91.9.1esr I found problem with System theme 1.2. The color of tab add button was changed, and the button is not visible with my Windows 7 classic windows system theme. So, I'm trying to find a way to port System theme 1.0 color scheme to newer firefox versions.

Creation of a simple theme with firefox color extension works. But it is unable to recreate the effects related to active and inactive window color changes. As, I had to use bitmap to get the OS blue color transition pattern.

It seems the system theme is stored in omni.ja file. Modification of the omni.ja seems to be not a practical solution. So, it would be a better way to create an addon theme with the same code as the System Theme 1.0.

The first question is, if it will be possible to create a theme with the same code as a system theme has. Will it be able to perform the same way?

The next question is: Where the source code of the system theme is? I was unable to find it in the Firefox source. It seems, it is not stored in any obvious location.

So, I am a Linux user who is used to shell commands like mv or cp. One of their feature is absence of prompts like "Are you sure what you want to replace foo.txt?". Because I have somewhat organized fs, I always know what that file is for and if I can overwrite it.

Now I have to download some files, what I need only for uploading onto another website / reading them once. So, I just download them into my /tmp folder and save them under the same name (so I could just repeat cat command and reduce clutter). But each time I download a file Firefox asks for confirmation to replace my existing file. Are there any config flags to disable those annoying prompts?

Hi,

I've just spent an annoyingly long time trying to do something that turned out to be really easy, it was just finding out what to do that made it seem hard.
The issue of where search results open is completely ignored in the help pages, judging from the number of questions in Support on the issue, that appears to be something of an oversight. As does not displaying the date questions were posted, reading about what applies in an old verion of Ff may not do so in the current one, it didn't in my case.
I wanted to know how to make the search results from Google on the search bar, open in a new tab, as opposed to the same tab, the current default setting. All it takes is changing the value of: browser.link.open_newwindow, from false to true in about:config.
Simple to do, finding out that's what you have to do, isn't.
I thought I'd suggest that you might consider addressing this matter, I'm sure it would be welcomed by at least some users.
Anyway, thank you for a great browser.

I have the exact same issue as the following users, and have yet to find a solution to the problem. "In MacOS Big Sur 11.1 on my MacBook, I have set MacOS to automatically switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode. But I notice that Firefox does not handle this well. When I have used my MacBook Dark Mode and switch back to Light Mode, Firefox still hangs in Dark Mode. The only way to solve this is to choose Light Mode in System Preferences instead of automatic."

I enrolled in "Rally" some time ago and participated in a few studies. Suddenly, every time I start Firefox, it puts up a page telling me I haven't completed my Rally enrollment. (https://rally.mozilla.org/rally-required/index.html) If I click on the button, "Complete Enrollment," I am simply taken to a page that says there are no available studies.

Not even slightly debilitating, but certainly annoying! Anybody have a suggestion?

I use the userChrome.css file to take the search bar from the bottom of the screen and have it float. Here's the instruction that I use ... .browserContainer > findbar {-moz-box-ordinal-group: 0; position: fixed !important; }. Firefox 107 has made that .css instruction non-executable. If I text out the instruction I now get the search box at the bottom of the screen. I want it back to a floating search box. Is there a fix in 107 so I can use my .css file or is there another way to get the search box floating. Regards
