Hi,

All of a sudden I need to click the bookmark this page star twice to get the drop down menu. I've cleared the cache, stopped hardware acceleration, & disabled addons in trouble shoot mode. No joy.

I have lost my personal bookmarks list on the Mozilla Firefox Home Page. I now have numerous bookmarks, some which were in my personal list and some that I may have used in the past, but deleted them. Others are from an unknown source. Maybe a Firefox generated list. They aren't all familiar. Can Someone help me find my personal list that existed before the last update and restore that list.

One of my folders is lost. I know the bookmarks are in bookmarks as I can search on one or more. However, I can to know what folder they/it is in. Example: folder FOOD is lost, but I can search on hamburger and it shows up. etc. A one by one search takes a lot of time. I would like for the folder to show up in what other folder it is lost in.

Firefox browser kept crashing so my son deleted it and we thought re-installing would work but I lost all my bookmarks. I have tried all the solutions suggested on this site and none have worked. Any suggestions?

I changed computers and created a login to save bookmarks, it looked like this was accomplished but now on my new computer and after I login in Firefox it asks me to import but fire fox is not an option.

I am having trouble deleting Folders in Bookmarks Manager. When I search I get untold # of links, many of which do NOT relate to the topic. I'm sure the answer is somewhere but I can't find it. Can someone point me to the info?

Is there a way to refine the results from a large list? I'm a retired librarian so I have a lot of experience searching.

I have 2 laptops (Macs) and want to Merge the bookmarks on the two. I can only find ways to copy one to the other, but then it overwrites what is on the laptop the bookmarks are being copied too.

All my bookmarks and favourites vanished after a semmingly normal update. I had everything there, it was the reason I wanted to keep firefox instead of using edge. Please help me!

Why are we suggesting passwords and not saving them to my browser? Do you think im going to remember dsfhkjg32iuyt4t3#$%$@? I mean do you really expect someone to remember that????? ?????????? like really??????

I inserted a pic of my problem. I want to save a twitter bookmark in my twitter folder in the toolbar but it comes up with TWO different folders! When I save to one it shows up in the toolbar folder, if I choose the other it does not and I have no idea where it goes. How do I remove the second twitter location?

After downloading the latest version of Firefox, I was unable to import bookmarks from my earlier version. Therefore, I uninstalled the latest version and am using the former.

Since I can see no advantage of switching to the latest version of Firefox, how can I disable the ever present, annoying reminder to do so.

I'm organizing my bookmarks in the Sidebar and have lots of folders and dividers to keep things organized into categories etc. When grabbing a bookmark at the bottom of the list, I start to drag it to the top to get it to a folder in the middle but as soon as I get close to the top the scroll starts and accelerates to a high speed immediately and I scroll all the way to the top. I want to know if there's a way to slow down either the top speed or the acceleration of the scroll, because at this point I cannot finesse it enough to get to where I want.

Having changed for a time to another browser and imported/exported back and forth, I am presently with three bookmark menus, one after another. When a bookmark does not appear, I have to go to manage bookmarks to see in which one it is. Is there a possibility of merging the menus or only by manually checking in one menu and scrolling to the next, etc. and eventually deleting the excess? If the last is the only option, is there any way to get a second display to work from instead of having to scroll back and forth? Thank you for your imput.

i logged in to my firefox account on my daughters laptop - but my bookmarks didn't appear - when i synced now her bookmarks have replaced mine - i want mine back please

I have a Firefox account and I want to recover my bookmarks and passwords. My Windows 10 PC didn't boot up so I had to do a factory reset. After the reset, I logged into Firefox and tried using the Import and Backup tool. There was only one recovery date so I chose that. I clicked on the date and was prompted "This will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure?" I click OK and nothing happens. I didn't see my bookmarks and rebooted my computer.

It sounds like this might be two different issues: Bookmarks and Passwords.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I got a new machine, and exported from a windows 10 machine running firefox and got a "bookmarks.html " file that was saved to my desktop. I then used a USB drive to put it on a new LINUX box with firefox running on it. something happened with the "other bookmarks" folder in my bookmarks list. It is empty and I cannot access it. PLUS there is ANOTHER "other bookmark" folder on the bottom of the list that I cannot access or select.

The "other bookmarks" on the bookmarks tab is empty (the one on the top of the list). I can't move a URL to it. There is also another "other bookmarks" on the bottom. which I cannot select and therefore cannot get rid of. And I have a link to some place that I also cannot select (and therefore cannot get rid of).

All the bookmarks in my folders and lists are ok and they work. I think the bookmarks list (which I cannot find in the linux file system) is corrupted. How can I find it, delete it, and then try to import my new "bookmarks.html" again ? Using Linux POP-os ver 22. Most recent release.
