I cannot turn on the audio input and the audio output in Discord web application when running Firefox for desktop PC. The advice from Mozilla Support knowledge base regarding how to enable microphone did not help, since there is always no access request from discord.com detected in "Preferences" -> "Privacy & Security" -> "Permissions".

I am using the latest version of Firefox (94.0.1) on Windows 7 SP 1 and Windows 10 20H2. In Discord Support knowledge base the app is claimed to support Firefox version 80+.

  • When I try to print a webpage using Firefox, the page enlarges 4x and therefore I only get 1/4 of the webpage on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. If I change my browser to Chrome or IE, it prints correctly. If I scroll to the bottom of the Firefox Print Dialog window and select "Print using system dialog" it also works correctly.
  • I have the zoom set to 100 and the Print Dialog paper size set to Letter, It is set to print to page width, I tried it with Scale 100 but it didn't help. I also went to about: config and checked that the paper size and scaling were set to 1.
  • The the picture of the Print Preview looks exactly like should be when printed, but when it is sent to the Lexmark S505 printer the size is too large.
Since I print 50-100 individual webpages a week, I cannot use Firefox if this can't be corrected.

Firefox 94.0.1 (64-bit) ~ Windows 7 ~ No anti-virus except Windows Defender ~ No new extensions installed that haven't already been operating for weeks or longer.


Suddenly, after doing NOTHING except restarting my computer, my 'minimize', 'maximize', 'restore' and 'close' buttons are missing.

Any 'solutions' I've looked up talk about "Tablet Mode" (which I highly doubt I'm in) or other nonsense, the options for which either didn't exist when I opened suggested menus, or were simply techno-jargon-gobbledy-gook.

I doubt it's anything to do with Windows, since 'Waterfox', 'Microsoft Edge', 'Chrome' and other browsers all have their buttons intact.

When I opened Firefox in 'troubleshoot mode' the buttons were back. But nobody in those unhelpful 'help articles' said what to do after opening in troubleshoot mode, so I closed it, opened Firefox the usual way again, and the buttons were still missing.

Some logical, properly explained help would be greatly appreciated.

I use windows speech recognition (not dictation, different thing) when my wrists are acting up, but firefox always immediately turn unresponsive when i turn it on. i can't switch tabs or interact at all with the browser. Are there solutions for this? If my wrists were slightly worse i would probably just stop using firefox :[

I am getting ready to switch from Firefox to another browser. Firefox just refuses to print. When it does, it is incredibly slow and pays no attention to the criteria I select, such as which page, paper size, color or black and white.

It hangs on the "Creating Preview" loader and decides randomly 3-5 minutes later if it's going to print anything. Most often not. Converting to postscript is a no brainer these days. Everybody can do it. Why is FF having such an issue?

I have looked at every solution article within Firefox and without. And print resetting DOES NOT WORK!!

This used to be such a friendly easy to use, fast browser. Then I noticed as you started adding "features" it's just turned into a slow memory hog that doesn't print, a "feature" that is crucial for me.

Saying goodbye. This is just too darn frustrating.

PS: Attachment is all I see.

Good day.

I use Firefox 94.0.1 and the latest version of CCleaner. I sometimes use the "Clear Storage Button" and "Cookie Auto Delete" addons.

My situation:

1. In Firefox, settings for clearing history, Cookie, Site settings and Cache boxes are NOT checked.

2. I do some surfing. Then I'll look in the FF "Cookies and Site Data" - Manage Data, and I see cookies.

3. *Without closing the browser*, but closing any active tabs and leaving *one* inactive tab (blank) in place.

4. I will, for instance, hit the "Clear Storage Button" - which is set up to clear cookies.

5. Looking back in the FF "Cookies and Site Data" - Manage Data, the cookies have been removed.

6. Launching CCleaner, then Options, Cookies: cookie data still shows up!!!

7. I repeat the process, same result.

8. If I then *close* FF and look again at the CCleaner, Options, Cookies, the cookies info is gone.

This is the same result with using either "Clear Storage Button" and "Cookie Auto Delete" addons.

So the situation I have is this:

- I can remove cookie data from FF using an addon.

- As long as I don't close FF completely, CCleaner will still show cookie data.

- Once I close FF completely, then cookie data in CCleaner goes away.

- Please look back at #1 above.

It seems as though an addon can delete cookies in FF, and FF shows they have been deleted, but CCleaner is still picking up some residual data from FF, or so it appears.

Sign me, "Got me boggled".

since a week or so portal I frequently use - www.wp.pl started to work really slow. It crashes all the time, browser becomes inoperative, closes by itself, etc. It obviously happens to all pages, articles, services related to wp.pl. I cannot open a single page from wp.pl domain without issues. Before it was working completely fine, all of this started to occur for no reason. Also, it happens to wp.pl only. All other pages/portals/platforms function normally. I checked on different browsers - IE, Edge, Chrome and it works fine. I also cleared cache/cookies/browser history in Firefox and this didn't help at all. Therefore there must be something wrong with Firefox browser. Could you please investigate?

Language Pack Problem of the Store Version

It seems like the Language Packs aren't working in the Store Version. I switched from the normal App to the Store Version and since then I can't use another Language Pack, even if they are installed and activated as Addons. The only language correction I can use is the default US-English.

Whenever I type "f" into the address bar in FireFox the following auto populates and suggests:

place:folder=BOOKMARKS_MENU&folder=UNFILED_BOOKMARKS&folder=TOOLBAR&queryType=1&sort=12&maxResults=10&excludeQueries=1/

There are no folders named "BOOKMARKS_MENU" "UNFILED_BOOKMARKS" or "TOOLBAR" that can be found on the computer. Bookmarks Toolbar and Bookmarks Menu exist under Application Menu>Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks. No "Unfiled" exists in Manage Bookmarks, an "Other Bookmarks" does exist.

If I uncheck the option for FireFox to auto fill suggestions from bookmarks it stops. But, obviously, that is not a good solution.

No other letter generates this suggestion.

Typing "s" auto fills and suggests:

place:sort=8&maxResults=10/

Typing "t" auto fills and suggests:

place:type=6&sort=14&maxResults=10/

No other single letter auto fills and suggests a "place:" formatted suggestion. All others just suggest bookmarks or nothing.

When I forward some links, rather than taking the recipient to the specific YouTube page, the link takes them to the YouTube home page. Other sites I can still forward correctly. I have researched this issue and except for a virus that affected Firefox a few years back, I have found nothing. I have run spyware, malware, and virusware with no change.

Is this a YouTube issue? Another form of Big Tech censorship? Anyone else out there having issues like this?

I finally put FireFox in the garbage can in my iMac (Big Sur 11.5.1) and flushed it and then downloaded a new copy. No difference. I deleted all my cookies per the Firefox suggested repair page. Why would a specific site generate these forward issues? Just for giggles, I tried a forward in Safari (which I never otherwise use) and the links work correctly.

I have been a Firefox supporter from the very beginning and hate to swap browsers. Thank you to all the wonderful code writers and tech support volunteers out there who make this effort possible.

Theme keeps resetting on browser restart when signed in to account

Every time I change my theme and close my browser and come back in it resets my theme. Though my theme says it is enabled. I have no idea what is causing this accept that it happens when I log in to my account. I have uninstalled my Firefox and cleaned out all registry and appdata folders for a clean install. I then re-install fresh and login to my account and BAM my theme resets every time I restart my browser. I have also closed all logins in my account.

As you can see in the image my theme is enabled but the theme is not showing. When I disable and re-enable it it will come back but when I close my browser and open it back the theme shows for about 2 seconds but reverts to this theme you see in the screenshot.

I hope this makes sense, this is very confusing.

I'm trying to order some scalpel blades, model XNB101, off this website, https://www.ffx.co.uk/ but I'm not getting anywhere. If I click "Add to Basket" I just get the rotating icon. After that, if I refresh the screen I can see they've been added to the Basket. If I click on the Basket, the "Confirm Order" is greyed out. If I Refresh this screen, the "Confirm Order" goes active/Orage briefly then reverts to Grey. If I click on the Paypal payment option, I get to Paypal and can log in but it fails "oops there was a failure" or similar. I've gone into Troubleshooting Mode and it made no difference. I've tried enabling Pop-Ups to no avail. Anyone help please?
