When I do a search in the recently downloaded Firefox focus, I am still directed to google. Is that how Firefox focus works.? And I thought I would be searching the Internet through Firefox and nothing would be going through Google. The default search engine is still set for Ecosia and there is no option to use Firefox. Did I do something wrong here or is that the way this works?

The onscreen Keyboard lags on both an iPhone and an iPad. I tried restarting the app and the devices and tried reset the keyboard dictionary. The issue persisted. The Keyboard doesn’t lag anywhere else.

Is this a known issue?

Since today, tapping and holding a link would use the same preview method as Safari, where it would show you a preview box that could show either a preview of the website or just the URL, switched by tapping the top right of the box. Now it uses its own preview mechanism and there is no option to show only the URL and nothing else. Could you please add such an option on the box? Thank you in advance.

Hello dear Firefox Focus team,

At the moment I see a bunch of interface languages available for the Firefox Focus application. At the same time the list is far from full in comparison even with Firefox app itself.

Personally I wish Belarusian language to be added to the app so that I would like to clarify the following:

1. Is there any way I could personally help with this and perform a translation from English to Belarusain (I'm a native speaker and a software engineer)? If yep who is the best contact point to kick-off the process? 2. Where can I raise the feature request if external contributions are not available?

Thank you.

Is there any means to add an option to disable JavaScript in Firefox Focus? This browser has been my go-to / default browser for years on iOS, but lately it has become more difficult to use because websites wait several seconds or wait until I’ve scrolled halfway through a page before blasting a huge window up on the screen asking/demanding/requesting I sign in or agree to their (not so private) privacy policy. Even if I get by that, it seems to refresh the page and I lose where I was.

I’ve found Safari obviates this issue when I leave JavaScript off. I don’t really want to shift entirely to safari, but websites have made using Firefox Focus a bit less useful because of those pop-up windows.

I primarily use Tor Browser or Firefox with uBlock Origin (JavaScript disabled) on my regular computers and happily have few issues using the internet.

I would like to use the Blocklist from FireFox Focus that you can enable for Safari on IOS on MacOS as well. Is there any way to do this? Would it be possible to publish the list to add it to AdGuard (or uBlock Origin)? Or just make a content blocker app available, similar to the way it works on IOS. I am already using Firefox on MacOS but for different purposes than I am using Safari and I would like to have the this list on both browsers.

I am already using AdGuard with build-in and custom blocklists, so I am wondering what Firefox Focus is blocking exactly and whether it might be redundant to add it to my extensions for Safari on IOS. Would be good to have a info page on what the extension is doing/blocking to get a better picture of what is going on. The way it is now I have no idea what it is doing…

Is there any way to disable javascript in Firefox Focus on iOS?

The issue that is making me ask is that there are more than a few websites that display full-screen popups (non-GDPR pop-ups) upon loading or while scrolling. Drugs.com is the one I found this morning, where it blasts a full-screen pop-up asking you to subscribe to their newsletter. If I use Safari with javascript disabled, I don't receive that popup on the same website. I thus conclude javascript is the issue.
