As the title says, the navigation bar (the one with the back, forward, trash and hamburger menu button) in Firefox Focus (I’m on iOS 16.1.1, iPhone XS) sometimes covers a part of the view, which is most noticeable when getting these cookie notifications at the bottom of websites. From my testing, it happens when entering the website from a link, and not when entering the URL directly into the address bar, and it fixes itself if you manage to scroll a little.

1. Launch firefox focus 2. Do some search 3. Move on and use some other apps. 4. After a while, come back to Firefox focus. (repeat steps 1 through 4 multiple times maybe?) 5. App freezes and iPhone screen turns black with a spinner in the center and finally displays the lock screen, Firefox focus has crashed.

This has been happening for the past couple months if not longer.

There are times when I am using FireFox focus, when I hit the garbage can icon on the bottom of the app it causes my iPhone to logout of IOS. It is intermittent issue. It doesn’t happen every time I use Firefox Focus and I can’t determine anything to try an repeat the issue. It just happens about once every two weeks.

I have been using Firefox Focus for about 2 weeks and the blocked site tracker count is over 19,000 trackers already. Is it normal to see daily increases of hundreds or thousands of trackers like this? My browser speed is recently very slow and sometimes it hangs completely. I also get "usual traffic" notifications sometimes while browsing, and then Google requires me to prove I am a person and not a bot (via reCaptcha). Is this cause for concern? Does this potentially sound like there could be malware on my phone?

Hi there, I’ve used Firefox focus for a number of years but recently I’ve noticed an issue with the app crashing.

To reproduce this I think the app needs to have been open and running in the background for a long time (several hours). Then clicking the trash can icon seems to cause a slow down that within a few seconds makes the phone screen turn black and show a spinny icon before returning to the Lock Screen. Using multi-tasking to force close the app instead of the trash icon seems to circumvent this.

Especially for some sites, such as the Washington Post, when attempting to clear Focus by tapping the trash can, Focus freezes, then (both) the iPad or iPhone go black with a small spinning circle, rebooting to iPad's/iPhone's entry screen. This started happening recently, in early 2023, after updating iOS. Very very very (did I say "very"?) annoying. If this is not a current Focus bug report, it should be.

When I tap on a YouTube link, or Reddit, or Amazon etc, FireFox Focus opens it in the native app. This completely undermines the entire purpose of app. I use it when I don’t want to access something while signed in. It’s crazy that a “Privacy Browser” happily gives my searches over to the companies I’m trying to avoid.

This seems to be new behavior in a recent update… it used to occasionally ask me if I wanted to open the app but now it’s just automatic.

If I long press a link and tap “open link” it usually stays inside FireFox Focus… but it’s inconvenient, hard to remember, and I never know what is going to trigger the external apps.

Can we please at least give the option to disable this??

Since today, tapping and holding a link would use the same preview method as Safari, where it would show you a preview box that could show either a preview of the website or just the URL, switched by tapping the top right of the box. Now it uses its own preview mechanism and there is no option to show only the URL and nothing else. Could you please add such an option on the box? Thank you in advance.

I have Focus set as my default browser but the “open in Safari” option is gone and replaced by “open in default browser “ and “open in Firefox”. How do I open in Safari if focus is my default browser. I’ve already tried reinstalling the app.

recently i noticed that focus no longer asks before opening a link in another app (e.g. a youtube link in the youtube app). i know that you can open it in focus by long pressing on the link and clicking open link rather than open in default browser (which is set in settings to be firefox focus, but still opens it in the relevant app), but it's a hassle to do every time. is there a way to re-enable asking before opening an app, or at the very least opening it in focus by default?

Hello dear Firefox Focus team,

At the moment I see a bunch of interface languages available for the Firefox Focus application. At the same time the list is far from full in comparison even with Firefox app itself.

Personally I wish Belarusian language to be added to the app so that I would like to clarify the following:

1. Is there any way I could personally help with this and perform a translation from English to Belarusain (I'm a native speaker and a software engineer)? If yep who is the best contact point to kick-off the process? 2. Where can I raise the feature request if external contributions are not available?

Hello Firefox Focus seems to have display issues when “Zoomed” view is selected in the ‘Display Zoom’ setting. Settings->Display & Brightness->Display Zoom The favourite icon spacing is misaligned (especially if you have 4 favourites), as well as the text items overlap on the main app screen. Some web sites also run off screen right. Thank you.
