Firefox for iOS Support Forum

Unlike all my other browsers, Firefox will not save an opened csv file downladed from the CDC. See attached image. There is now download icon in the url and no option to save to my iPad. This is unfortunate because I have used Firefox on my PCs for years. Will have to delete Firefox from my iPad and go back to Safari if there is no solution to this.

When opening a link to a .vcf file in Firefox 110.0 (27761), the file will only download, and will not automatically open Contacts app and ask if I'd like to save it as a new contact. When I go to the .vcf file in Downloads, it does not let me open it in or share it to Contacts.

Using the same link in Safari successfully opens the .vcf in the Contacts app.

Why won't Firefox open the .vcf into Contacts?

I'm using iOS 16.3.2.

Few days before i tried to download a movie from some website i googled in, after which firefox behaved weird. It was not opening. As soon as i open the app within a sec it disappears from the screen. I tried reinstalling the app but it didn’t worked. Now i am not using it. Unsuccessful (Attempt 1): Movie file size 1.98 GB ( it didn’t stopped there i saw browser was kept on downloading more MB of data, So I have cancelled the download) Sucessful (Attempt 2): Movie File Size 800 MB ( it stopped at 800 MB) I googled “ index of movie” as advise by one quora website user & from their, i had clicked on one link to download the movie. Pls look into it developers.
