I'd love to have a feature where I can choose to open all my synced tabs on a new device at once instead of having it as a list under synced, as it would look on the original device I have them opened on. Maybe have that option to open all tabs under synced.

Thanks, Judy

I recall Firefox having an option of not to search yet to go directly to site I wish to click this option yet I cannot find it. Either you have removed it from the options or you have hidden it where someone that has been using the app for years cannot find it hence why I do not like updates

My firefox on samsung android phone just suddenly closed all of my tabs on its own which were waaaay over 100 tabs... no update or crash or anything.... i didn't close the tabs either.... just suddenly all gone.. and this is the 2nd time this happens within a year or 2... exact same thing! Unbelievable!! This is unacceptable!! If i did it by mistake then its my fault but all my tabs just totally disappeared suddenly on their own. What can i do? How do i know what caused this? Was painstakingly transferring my collections of bookmarked links from my old Android phone to my new one (please fix this so entire collections can be moved as one, rather than individual components). Not halfway through yet; all was going well, and suddenly I got the message "Unable to send - Retry." Multiple tries; no further success. Nothing had changed re the wifi connection for either phone. Hoping this is something simple.

This problem has kept annoying me for months now: When I load my youtube subscriptions page on my tablet, Firefox keeps kicking me over to the mobile site (m.youtube.com instead of www.youtube.com) which is bloody annoying. Changing the m to www manually will do me no good, it gets changed back to m as soon as i hit enter. Turning on the desktop site switch in the menu will only work temporarily, it's only a matter of time before I get kicked back to the mobile site. It's not a question of IF it happens, it's a question of WHEN it happens.

The thing is that this ONLY happens with youtube in Firefox on my tablet, but not in Firefox on my phone, my computer or other websites, and it does not happen in opera on the tablet either. That tells me that it is a Firefox problem (maybe some setting?), not a YouTube problem.

So why does Firefox do this, and how can I stop it?

PS. It's the latest version of Firefox on a galaxy tab s2 running Android 7. No, updating to a newer version of Android is not an option :-( Thanks, Samsung!

The issue where Firefox on Android does apparent background restarts is still occurring in the most recent release builds.

This was first discussed in the now archived topic https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1379604

It is 100% reproducible. Steps:

1. Go to https://www.theguardian.com/uk 2. Open in background tab one or two internal links to stories in that website 3. Firefox is hang for e.g. 40s then reloads from scratch all open tabs including to other sites 4. The device will behave as if it was recently restarted with all other apps doing UI refresh activity when you next access them

The repro steps are truly simple.

Should we raise this as an iss with the website instead? e.g. Chrome does not and never has had a problem like this on that website.

Cheers,

108.2.0 (Build #2015925643), 78718ba91+ AC: 108.2.0, 9174b4e74f GV: 108.0.2-20230104165113 AS: 95.0.1
