In the recent update, there is a new feature which allowed people to view pdf directly in the browser rather than downloading it. Ever since this was implemented, I am not able to download any pdf, instead it keeps opening up the pdf in another tab which is not what I'm trying to do. Is there a way to fix this?

How can I resolve the issue of my website not displaying properly on Mozilla Firefox browser, specifically with regards to the layout and formatting? Are there any specific CSS or HTML codes that need to be modified to ensure compatibility with Firefox, and are there any known compatibility issues between Firefox and certain web development frameworks or libraries that I should be aware of?

Where do I go in settings in order to make Firefox my default app. I went into apps and found Firefox and clicked on it and made it my browser and now it's saying I don't have internet.

In the past few weeks i cannot sign in to my accounts with different vendors like Amazon. A pop up window appears when I click on "Sign In" and the window states, and I quote: "Open in another app

                                                                                                         Would you like to leave Firefox to view this content?"
                                                                                                          Cancel                     Open 

If I click on Cancel it will let me enter the email or phone number in the site pop up box. But, once entered and pressing the continue box, which would normally take you to the password box, it brings up the same window as above. Then it does not matter whether i click on Cancel or Open, it will not give me a password box and will not take me to the site. It presents a page that states We're sorry, The web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site. So, I cannot call any Firefox Tech person and get this straightened out. Also today, the website icons I have saved to my home page were greyed out today. I went to Verizon and they determined it was an issue with Firefox since that is how I accessed those sites and used that search engine to save them to the home screen. I decided to reload those one at a time and then erase the greyed out icons. When I got the 3rd one done the other 29 became live again. Not sure what is at issue here but i do need assistance. With the new viewing pdf files in Firefox 111 I cannot download the file to downloads to save it. Can Firefox be modified to allow the option to either view the pdf file or download the file to downloads?

I am attempting to set Firefox as my search engine on my Android phones. I have to add Firefox under "Other" as a search engine but it is asking for the "Search String" for Firefox. I am looking for the search string address for Firefox and gives an example using Google. How do I find the Search String for Firefox?

On my Android 12 Motorola phone watching YouTube on Firefox for Android, I am seeing captions/subtitles both on the YouTube screen and separate from the YouTube screen overlaying the page. I do not have a caption add-on. I can turn the YouTube screen captions on and off using YouTube Payback Settings, but I cannot see how or where to turn off the captions overlaying (see screenshot) the YouTube web page/Firefox for Android app. Any help would be appreciated.

Streaming video on websites using Firefox or Firefox Nightly like YouTube, Tubi TV etc on my smartphone running on Android plays in a low, sluggish frame rate that can be hard to watch. When using a chromium powered web browser for media consumption like Kiwi Browser, the same video on the same player from the same website plays perfectly smooth every time.

The only extension I have installed on both the Firefox and Firefox Nightly apps on my phone is UBlock Origin.

Does anybody know of any settings or optimizations I can make that can help smooth out video streaming playback on Firefox?

Hi, recently my firefox for android has stopped downloading pdfs from my universitys webpage. It now opens the document as a link in the browser and there is no easy way to download it (or maybe I am blind and just cant find the option, not sure at this point). The links look like:

Is there some "automatically download files" option or similar? In any case, thank you in advance!

I have followed the directions to change settings for pop-up blocker but when I go to the permissions section of Privacy&Security there is no BLOCK POP-UP WINDOWS with a checked box next to it. So I cannot make exceptions.

I have Firefox for Android on my Samsung tablet version 111. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

I installed the "Google" app and the "Firefox" app. When I used the "Google" app to search for images, I found that I couldn't open the searched websites. I tried to use the Samsung browser or Chrome browser and did not have this problem. Is there a way to allow popups as a whole or from specific sites? Some support chats open in a separate window as a popup and I cannot view them. I have to use a different browser in that situation and I would rather stick to Firefox

My Samsung Galaxy S5e tablet settings are set to Dark mode and work fine. My Firefox settings are set to Follow Device Mode and work fine when I am in Firefox settings. Why doesn't Google search page in Firefox go to Dark mode? If I turn on Desktop site I can turn Google dark but as long as I am on mobile page there does not seem to be anyway to enable dark mode? Any help?

Can't find anything about it, just presumably on browser Firefox. When I accidentally tap "Bing search", it opens up Microsoft Edge, which I don't even have. Deleting Bing as a search engine does nothing. So yeah, please help?

On my Android home I often use Add to Home Screen to place an icon on the home screen for frequently used websites. They tend to disappear when Android updates are pushed out. Anybody know how to prevent this?

By the way, the inability to mark a page within a PWA website sucks rocks. Developers, please give us a choice to install PWAs or just use page shortcuts if possible.
