I've searched everywhere and can't figure out how to change the default sort order for messages in my inbox and other folders. From Oldest to Newest is counterintuitive for me and I'm sure there is a place to change this...I just can't locate it. Thanks for any help.

Up until I upgraded to the beta circuit today, I was using TB V102.<something>

I use a third-party desktop configuration program called WindowBlinds to set system colors and themes; it has always been able to set colors in Thunderbird with no issue... until I installed this beta version... Now, I simply get black text on bright white background, regardless of WindowBlinds theme.

So I tried falling back on using Thunderbird settings... in Settings-> General -> Fonts & Colors, I have tried all combinations that I could think of, but *none* of them affect the Local Folders Folders and Messages display colors.

Specifically, I have: > Enabled "Allow messages to use other fonts" > Under Colors window, have both set and cleared "Use system colors" If I SET "Use system colors", then all of the Settings tabs use the WindowBlinds colors, but neither Local Folders nor Calendar use them. If I CLEAR "Use system colors", then all of the Settings tabs use the fgnd/bgnd colors that I specify in the Colors dialog.

I *really* want *all* of the windows to use my system colors, which were set by WindowBlinds... that's how it all worked before... that bright-white background on the message panes is Ghastly!!! I cannot bear to look at it...

I hope you're doing well. I am currently facing an issue with installing the Owl for Exchange addon on Thunderbird for Windows. I have successfully installed it on Linux, but unfortunately, I'm unable to replicate the process on my Windows machine.

The purpose of installing this addon is to synchronize my institutional Outlook account with Thunderbird. Despite following the installation steps carefully, the addon doesn't seem to work properly, in fact doesn't appear as an option when I try to add an account. I've tried reinstalling Thunderbird and the addon multiple times, but with no success.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem or has any idea why this might be happening specifically on Windows. Are there any additional configurations or dependencies required for the addon to work on Windows? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Currently opening the Address Book always creates a new tab in an existing window. At times, it would be much nicer to have it open as a separate window, visible at the same time as the mailboxes. Is there any way to achieve this?

As per the subject line, how can I globally, meaning all mailboxes managed by my Thunderbird client, turn off grouping of messages and their replies? I have only found an option that turns this off after I've read the mail.

Please tell me how to remove "all Addresses" from the 3 folders in my Thunderbird address book. Personal and collected are more than sufficient. Thank you very much for your help.

When I started working from home, I bought my own domain and used my email address from that domain by forwarding the email to my Zen Internet ISP, where I picked it up. Most people have that address. However, unless I'm missing something, in Thunderbird, I can set it up as the default Reply To address, but not as a permanent From address, so, unless I use the Custom Address each time, people end up with a second or third or fourth email address for me in their Contacts. I assume it's not possible to set up a permanent Custom Address?

I am currently using Thundrbird 102.10.1 (64-bit).

For years I had Thunderbird set up to open the way I want it to: fullscreen, classic view but without the Tasks/Events pane (which I never use), and with the folders pane at a width that I had set to view all the folder names for each email account.

Something changed a few months ago. I don't know if it was concurrent with an update, but now when TB opens it still shows the classic view but not fullscreen, WITH the Tasks/Events pane and with the folders pane width smaller that I had set it to.

How can I make TB display the way I want it to instead of what it thinks I want?

Currently in the box it says: file:///media/randomguy400/44754/Sounds/message.wav

I'm not sure why it has this path. The actual path to the file it is referring to is actually in E:\\Sounds (also the hard drive is named "44754"). Not sure why the path is like this. I'm unable to change the path without using the Browse button.

Hi, I have several issues regarding signatures -

1) how do i make a signature consisting of some text as well as an image - i have created my signature in a new email, saved it as a HTML file and used it as a file for my signature..

2) but when i create a new email - it shows for like a 1 second and then disappears.. doesnt appear in replies or forwards..

3) i tried to instead just use an image as a signature.. again just shows up for 1 second in replies and forwards and disappears..

have set all settings as instructed in the various answers in the forums..

I have received a warning that I'm almost up to capacity on my webhost's email storage. I wondered if I could put my archives on my hard drive by locating them on my hard drive? And how would I do that?

I have several email accounts for different purposes. Some are more important than others. Is there a way I can rearrange the email groups for my maximum ease of use. Given the following email accounts: a@1.com, b@2.com, c@3.com d@4.com and e@5.com. Let's say d@4.com is my most important email. Is there a way I can rearrange the emails so that d@4.com is at the top and the rest are arranged in an order for my convenience?

The print option won't work. I try with Ctrl + P and the printer button but won't print. I used the troubleshooting option "Clear saved print settings" but not work.

STILL an issue where valid and wanted emails are being sent to JUNK. Now on TB 102.11.0

I want the emails on the server to delete once I download them on Thunderbird. Is this possible using IMAP with Thunderbird? I don't want emails stored on some remote server. I want to get my emails from Thunderbird after I have received them, and after 10 days remove these read emails from the server while keeping my thunderbird emails on my PC. Please can you help! I have been struggling to find a better email experience on my Mac. this is the 5th application I've tested out.

I have about 7, or so, different email accounts, each with folders. Threading is automatically enabled on all of them and it's awful.

I've read through a number of questions and online posts about preventing it per folder. I have too many folders for this to work. Fixing one folder and trying to apply to all children doesn't seem to work either.

I've read about a few config options to change, but none of them seem to make a difference (e.g., mailnews.default_view_flags).

Has anyone found a way to permanently and completely disable threading?

A friend is having issue with Thunderbird shortcut keys tripping her up when they are pressed by mistake. Often recovery is not easy since one doesn't know what one has pressed by mistake! I've looked for ways to disable shortcut keys but the old add-ons that https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-thunderbird?redirectslug=keyboard-shortcuts&redirectlocale=en-US lists are no longer supported.

TBKeys Lite *is* supported in current versions but using its "Unset singles" doesn't seem to stop shortcut keys. The extension says it is aimed at power users i.e. not intended to simplify life for basic users. Given this, I imagine asking how to configure it for this will receive short shrift!

Can anyone explain how to disable shortcut keys?
