I have used Thunderbird for many years.

Currently, I am using version 102.12.0 (64 bit) and my OS is KDEneon 5.27

I have multiple email addresses (using IMAP or POP) which are filed under "Local Folders" ("Dossiers locaux" in french)

A) In the "Folders" view, I would like to be able to have one folder per email address.

B) And, similarly, I would like that for:

"Account Settings" -> [e-mail] -> "Copies & Folders" :

1)  "When sending messages, automatically:" -> "Place a copy in:" -> " "Sent" Folder on:"

2) -> "Message Archives" -> "Keep message archives in:" -> " "Archives" Folder on:"

3) -> "Drafts and Templates" -> "Keep draft message archives in:" -> " "Drafts" Folder on:"

4) -> "Drafts and Templates" -> "Keep message templates archives in:" -> " "Templates" Folder on:"

get a folder named after the email address, not in "Local Folders" as is currently the case.

But that's not what I want.

If I have an email address using the POP protocol, I want to keep it in POP, but having its own folder in the "Folders" view

In the same vein, if I have an email address using the IMAP protocol, I want to keep it in IMAP, but having its own folder in the "Folders" view.

Anyway, for my addresses using the POP protocol, I often have many more emails than my supplier agrees to store on his server.

In short, if you have a solution, it will be great.

I have Thunderbird installed on my Windows 10 Desktop PC. When I open the Calendar tab, in the left column under "Calendars" I have four calendars showing:

• Home,
• Contacts,
• My Calendar
• one labeled with my e-mail address.

How can I get rid of three of them without losing the data? Is it possible to merge them into the "My Calendar" one? Thanks in advance.

How can I delete a second email account folder that duplicates data in 1st folder? Folder names are as follows: prentissr@ example.net prentissR@ example.net

Q1:

I have Thunderbird on Mac, and over the years have had several profiles on it. I was always using IMAP for all of my email profiles, and when I go to the ImapMail I see at least 21 profiles.

Each folder has a name, and then an .msf copy of it. So for example, it will show imap.domain.com, and then imap.domain.com.msf

I no longer have access to the online server, so this local copy is the only server I have.

The mail folders, not counting the duplicates msf files are 21. I am attaching an email here for easier reference.

I want for all of these emails to show up on Thunderbird, but so far only 4 profiles show on Thunderbird. How do I get all the profile to show up on my Thunderbird so I can read them ?

Q2:

Where would I be able to find the attachments in the Thunderbird emails ? Is there a local file that I should be looking into ?

I'm trying to make embedded images that are sent as attachments display by default. I tried adding "moz-nullpricipal:*" as an exception but doesn't work. How else can I do?

Hello, I'm using TB on Ubuntu to get my emails from Gmail (French localization) I have very often an error message when sending email , impossible to copy the message into sent folder... because of the "é" in "Message envoyés" It is very annoying and does not occurs (I think) in my windows versions of TB How to fix that? thank you

I am changing the password authentication on two email accounts (two different Windows laptops) from "normal password" to "Oauth". Same version of TBird on each laptop. As the last step in this simple process, a GoDaddy window/web page pops up asking to verify Microsoft365 account credentials. On one laptop (Win7), this window contains a normal display with fields to enter password, etc. I am able to complete the process on this laptop, and it works fine. On the second laptop (Win11), the process is the same, and the same window appears, but it is blank. There are no fields to enter the required data. I've worked on this for a week now, changing default browsers, various settings, and have spent much time on the phone with GoDaddy support, all to no avail. I suspect the problem is in TBird, but I have no idea how to find it. Support for "Normal Password" authentication has been dropped, so this email account will not work until I change authentication to "Oauth". Help.

I am trying to manage recurring tasks. I entered the monthly recurring task. When I marked it complete in the month of April it did not send another reminder for the month of May and the task shows as completed because I had marked it complete for April. Can I fix this or is it best to set it up as a recurring event. I seem to not have issues with the way events recur. However I would rather keep this under tasks. Would someone have a solution for this. I'd like to mark complete each month and then be reminded the following month again and so forth for each month it is due. I really hope I can enter one task for this rather than 12 separate ones. Thank you.

Recently, was automatically updated to V 102.12.0

I have lost several folders previously nested under inbox.

How do I restore these?

Thunderbird error message reads "Login to server mail.btinternet.com with username my.name@btinternet.com failed." After several prompts to Retry/Enter New Password/Cancel, I eventually receive another message "Server mail.btinternet.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem." Neither of these are true: I can access the server via webmail (using Firefox) with or without VPN, and my gmail and ionos email accounts are working so it isn't a network problem. I see that the problem has arisen for others, but the responses have all been archived. Any suggestions?

I can send & receive email with webmail, but not with thunderbird. Why is that?

All I get is "cannot get mail. The user name or password for ricc@shaw.ca is incorrect.

I can send but not receive emails on my desktop (W10, McAfee, TB 102.11.2). On my other devices I can both send and receive emails using different email clients. TB displays the following message "Downloading message 1 of 52" and then after some time the message disappears and no messages are downloaded. Is their a simple fix for this issue?

When I double click to any event/task it shows a pop-up window with the event/task information, but this window is way too small and I need to resize every time, how can I change the default size?

Extra info: I'm using Ubuntu 22.04 and Thunderbird have a clean and updated installation without any add-on or extension.

Thunderbird is installed on Windows Server 2016. It is connected via IMAP protocol and has been used for several years, but there is a problem from time to time:

When a user saves an application to the server, the size of their email is 0 bytes, only the title and an empty pdf file are saved.

Is there any way to get rid of this problem? In fact, this application can be opened on another PC, but not on the server via remote desktop.

All of a sudden I can't dismiss or snooze a calendar entry reminder, or change any of the event settings (Reminders, Delete it, etc.)102.11.2 on Windows 10 64 bit.

I sent an E-mail from my account using Thunderbird 102, signed and with added public key but not encrypted. I inspected this mail in the mail server account of the recipient. It contains two attachments: 1) An openPGP asc file which contains the key ID in the name. When opened it shows my ASCII armoured public key. 2) A .sig file: "OpenPGP_signature.sig" When I inspect the same mail in the Thunderbird program of the recipient, it possesses only the first attachment. The sig file is missing. When I try to decrypt or verify the .sig file using Kleopatra or using GpgEX from the Windows Explorer menu, I get error messages like „Signaturfile invalid“ or „input/output error“.

How can I check the validity of the sig file or better, how can I open it to see the complete clear text and decrypt the encrypted part ?

I would be grateful for infos or links to answer my questions ! Sincerely WW
