Long story short I've lost about 30-40 tabs and can't get them back. What happened was that my computer was being strangely slow, so I opened task manager to close some stuff with one of them being firefox. I had about 6 windows open, 2 of them having a lot of tabs, the other 4 only having a few. Reopened firefox, click restore previous session and only 3 windows reopen. I've never had this before and am scrambling to try to fix it as the tabs/windows that did not reopen are the ones that were actually important. I've tried to use the scrounger thing that jscher2000 has suggested and haven't been able to find anything (I don't know much about code tho so could probably be missing something). I don't know what to do and am panicking a little as like I said, those windows that did not reopen were important. I'm trying to figure out if firefox saves older versions of the session restore .jsonlz4 files (besides the .baklz4) but they seem to just be overridden/deleted. Is there anything I can do or am I just screwed? Also recently closed windows and tabs options are empty when looking at the history tab, which has also never happened. New update today so could it be that that has caused this problem? Finally, I've looked at the Import and Backup -> Restore option, which has worked for me once when something similar happened, and between Saturday morning and now (Tuesday), there is nothing, which is odd as I close out all my tabs every night and this morning everything was restored perfectly. Yesterday is when I opened a lot of the important tabs for the one window, so could there be some kind of glitch occuring there? Any help would be appreciated Thanks

i have a question about feature in firefox, that is auto sleep tab. that's what i call it.

let me tell you first to get better understanding. so i'm work as a vendor for my client. and to connect to my client environment, usually i used remote desktop connection. there is firefox too but a little bit different. in remote desktop firefox, there is a feature auto sleep tab. so tab that hasn't been accessed in a few minutes will going to sleep state. but it's different with my local firefox. no matter how long I do not open the tab, it never goes to sleep state. i'm pretty sure i'm using latest version and same type of firefox. but why that feature doesn't exist in my firefox?

some websites load in private but not normal browser. i have tried in safe mode with no addons still no luck, ive tried a few odd and end things to get these sites to load with no luck. any advice would be great. i do not get any errors the websites just stop loading or playing videos.

I recently got help (thank you, Cor-El!!) and was able to put Firefox into compact mode. It's still not enough. Is there anyway to make even compact mode smaller? After websites add their own headers and all, it now leaves me about 2 inches of working space; it's better than one inch but isn't enough to see things.

I've been trying to keep going back to version 99 (darker attached screenshot in blues) but it isn't being allowed. The other screenshot (lighter, in oranges and pinks) is the current version in compact mode. It's a bit better, but still is not good.

Is there any way I can change the height of the headers myself? Or can I ask someone else to do it? I'd like it about half to 2/3 the size it is now, even in compact mode. Can I do that? If so, how?

Or, can I switch things around so the headers are at the side of the screen? This is a standard 15" diagonal screen laptop currently running Windows 10.

Recently something changed. Used to be that opening a tab presented a horizontal mid-screen array of icons of URLs. Handy. Don't know the lingo. They've been transgraded. Be nice to get them back.

When I switch from one tab to another doesn't matter the webpage the page adjusts the content on the tab. For example I was on youtube and switched over to gmail and it adjusted the screen and when I switched back to youtube it did the same on youtube. I wasn't zoomed in or anything. I was just on the tab and it was fine and looked how it should but as soon as I switch to another tab it does it on that tab and then will do it again when I switch back to the tab I was on originally on. I'm on FF vers 113.0.2 (64-bit).

I have one Firefox profile with work and personal stuff, and am creating another profile just for work. I have exported the passwords from the first profile and deleted all my personal ones, so the Excel file just have personal passwords. I am looking for a way to import this file into my new Firefox profile. I see how to do that from another browser, but not from a file or another Firefox profile. Any help would be appreciated.

i have one website which downloads the content (image/video/html) and save in localStorage also i have service worker who fetches those files.

while downloading the files from one url lets assume ( download.files.com) firefox downloads correctly , but when my service worker tries to fetch the html file from its own url ( url/content/files/downloadedHtml.html) its gives  404 not found , but when i open same url ( url/content/files/downloadedHtml.html) in second tab its giving 200OK. 

also in network tab it gives me "NS_BINDING_ERROR" .

Hi there! My Website layout not properly show in Firefox browser as shown on other browsers like chrome, apple browser and others. page width shows to short. Is that browser issue or my website? Note: I used some WP plugins in my website.

nearly all page wont load, it just spins. sometimes after a couple of refreshes the page will come up instantly. this happens to 80 percent of pages. I have reset, but didnt help.

Hi.. Last few upgrades, Firefox browser will not keep passwords to bookmark sites. Have to go thru a lot of trouble to sign in to any password sites that is not saved any longer in Fire fox browser.. Tried all kinds of setting in Firefox and disable our virus programs and win 10 items to find a way to save pass words. Google and other browser will save the pass words. When editing - composing a new email in Yahoo mail, the ENTER key is not making a NEW LINE. Resulting, I cannot write multi-line emails. But, when switching to Google Chrome, I have no issues, and ENTER key is working as it should.

I am new to Firefox browser, my IT guy recommended it over Chrome.

My issue is that I use Gmail as my email client, now I am all setup and been working all day, I have found I have to download my customers attachments, I can't drag them from the email to a folder.

I can open Chrome and still drag them from there but not Firefox

Am I missing a setting to tick? or and extension to use?

Hi, since today I have those wird glitches on YouTube videos (attached image). I've tried restarting Firefox, clearing browser cache and cookies, disabling all browser extensions and nothing helped. On other browsers videos works fine so it's not problem with YouTube

Is there anyway or what is the policy that I can configure to disable the "New Tab Ctrl+T" function on the menu please? Attached image.
