No saved login for DD-WRT router

If I open my DD-WRT router status webpage in Firefox on Android it always prompts me to enter username and password. This is despite there being a saved name and password for the site. Is this a feature of the browser on Android? It works fine on the Windows version.

More detail: this is not a webpage form where the details are entered, the browser is challenged for the details before anything will be shown. The desktop Firefox automatically fills in the login in the popup challenge dialog, the Android version does not fill it in.
