All of sudden printing (brand new problem) throws printer HP6P printer to manual tray and shrinks output to 1/4 of page. IE8 works fine!

I am a long-time power PC user. WinXP SP3. Firefox 4.0. For first time ever, printing to my HP6P is wacko in Firefox only. (IE8 works fine.) Printing goes to manual tray instead of autoselect the main paper tray. And printing a web page is scaled to 1/4 the letter-sized paper. It is not the HP Printer settings. When printing to Adobe Distiller as printer, I also get the 1/4 page shrinkage problem.
