I had Firefox open. Trying to log into a site (Kaiser). Was told that I was signed on with another open copy of Firefox. There was no other open copy. Only solution offered was closing Firefox and restarting computer. When I did this, ALL my history was lost.

I have the option checked to save current sites.

What could have caused my computer or Kaiser's to think there was another version of Firefox running? And how can I protect my history if something like this happens again? Could this have been caused by a virus?
