App window (Sirius radio) is keeping session alive, causing tabs in window that was closed to unwantingly restore on next open

Normally when I close a Firefox window and then open it later I get a nice blank home screen. However, I have found that if I leave an app window open (such as Sirius radio), when I close Firefox and then later open it, the tabs that were open when I closed the window pop back up.

This is not desirable and I do not remember this happening before I upgraded to Firefox 4.0. When I close the window, I want the tabs to go away and not restore the next time I open Firefox.

I already tried disabling session restore, but that does not resolve the problem. The session isn't really being completely being closed due to the open app window, so I don't think it really is a session restore issue, per se.

The problem just seems to be that closing the window is not really closing all the tabs inside the window. It is as if they are still "open" even though the window is closed, so they reappear the next time a window is opened.
