why, on a regular basis, when I open Thunderbird does it show a "done" message or "Null" and not access the mail server...This results in my having to restart my desktop after which it then connects and down loads emails. I am happy with the Thunderbird mail set up and have donated twice... I am hesitant to donate again while this issue persists. Mark Morrissey [removed phone# from public]

Address Book list name column not expandable?

The attached picture shows what my Address Book columns look like. I am unable to expand the list name column so that I can read all of the name.

When I hover my mouse over the list name column I get a thick gray line, but there is no way to get the column to move right.

How do I move that column to the right so I can see all of the name?

I am trying to set up my personal Gmail account in Thunderbird. I am also using Thunderbird for my work account. THAT account (also a Gmail account through my employer)… (read more)

I am trying to set up my personal Gmail account in Thunderbird. I am also using Thunderbird for my work account. THAT account (also a Gmail account through my employer) is up and running, however my credentials are being rejected for the personal account.

I have followed the setup instructions, and verified my username/password..

Any suggestions?

My ISP is stopping its email service (accessed via Thunderbird) at the end of June so I've set up a Gmail account (also accessed via Thunderbird) and created folders corresponding to those in the old account. I've located the profile folder for my old account, and tried to import my old emails from this via Tools > Import in my new account, but only the contents of one folder in the old account have been transferred. I've repeated this a number of times with no greater success, but what I do now have is a series of duplicate folders and 'Thunderbird Import' folders that have been generated in my old account (see screenshot).

How can I get my other old emails into my new account?

Hi.

I am using TB 102.11.2 (64-Bit) in German. Installed add on "Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV" and "TbSync". My iCloud contact list contains more than 300 addresses.

If I create a new contact in TB, it will be immediately synced to iCloud. If I change a contact in TB, it will also be immediately synced to iCloud. But I have two contacts, which are not synced, and I dont know why. This contacts I imported to TB from Outlook via .vcf file. Both contains images of the users. And both are shown in TB.

I am unsure, if "Provider for CalDAV & CardDAV" is necessary, I read a post with the info, that TB includes now native support for both protocols. Nevertheless, the problem still exists, even if I deactive this add on and sync again.

In the past, I also have had a problem with some contacts. I think it was a problem with some

Seemingly without any direct keyboard or mouse input all the items in the Inbox are moved to the Deleted folder. This has happened twice in the last month on my laptop, Thunderbird will be minimized to my taskbar and when opened up again after doing other tasks on the internet etc all the Inbox folder will be blank and will be in the Deleted folder.

Hello I am a long time user of Thunderbird, I am on the update channel, I am a retired technical support consultant so hopefully I have tried many of the obvious things. Nine times out of 10 if I send an email from Thunderbird mail to a Gmail address it gets rejected. Quite often if I try a second time it's okay but just recently it's been getting worse and this afternoon I tried about eight or nine tries and finally gave up. The problem is definitely a thunderbird problem as if I use other email clients or send mail from the ISP's website to a Gmail address this problem does not exist. Thank you in ADVANCE, Martin

I find the current address books really really difficult to use. Why three different books which seem incompatible? Whole groups appear and then just disappear at random! Trying to add names to a mailing group is a pain. I end up using 'Mail' in desperation sometimes. The previous system was infintely easier to use in every respect. Please can it be reinstated! I don't remember where/how I found them, have searched everywhere within the program and on my HD, I cannot find what happened to them.
